Decent but not great

We ate dinner on our first night here. I had the rock fish basket. It was nearly $15 and it was ok but nothing I would expect from a coastal restaurant. My boyfriend had the prime rib sandwich which was cooked to almost well. We were not impressed but as we were very hungry from fishing all day... read more

Staying at the hotel we thought we would try the restaurant. Mistake. Service was so so and for the price of the food I expected a bit more quality

I would find another place to eat. The shrimp brochettes were over cooked to the point of chewy, mash potatoes were cold and the seafood lasagna is really only salmon in it. The good item was the clam chowder. I thought the prices were high for the quality of food served. This was our first time to eat here.

This restaurant's food is not much to look at, not much for plating style, but the flavours are there. Mozzarella sticks were soooo gooey and delicious, nachos were yummy, hash was nice, benedict had a nice hollandaise, shrimp rolls were tangy/spicy delicousness, daquiris were delish, reisling was lovely. My favourite was the Shrimp Rolls and least favourite was the Banana... More

Nice view for breakfast, and good service. Prices were reasonable. I had a breakfast special of biscuits, gravy and scrambled eggs for $5

Overall, I still love this restaurant. However, the new chef has ruined the fish and chips. This used to be an excellent dish. The batter is now soggy and distasteful. Today I had the prime rib open sandwich and can recommend that highly. The coleslaw, thank goodness, is still the best I have ever tasted.

Often times an onsite facility doesn't do all it can to provide a great meals since they are the only facility at that hotel. Starfish Grill is a very strong exception to that rule. Quiet, attentive service and quality fare made our dinner simply wonderful. Desert was a shared treat that will be remembered fondly. The costs are extrememly reasonable.... More

The place was OK, but no better than that. It seemed like the quality should have been higher for the price. j

Checked in at the hotel, went down stairs to their bar, ordered the Halibut fish and chip's and clam strip's, They were the best we ever had, perfectly done, I still crave the fries, The next morning we had the crab omelet and biscuit's and gravy, I am going to make another trip there just for the food. The service... More

We came here because it was convenient since we were staying at the hotel. It was not any of my top choices to try but my daughter did not feel like going out. First off, the service was good once someone came to greet us. My problem with this place was the food. I orfered the crusted halibut for 24.oo.... More
