We love this little place because it serves the freshest seafood anywhere. Very good menu, delicious food, nice full bar, excellent service, and good prices. Nothing fried. Very friendly owners. Can't beat it... it's THE spot to go for great seafood in a comfortable setting. We'll certainly return and recommend it to others.

We really enjoyed our dinner at sharks! What a great mom and pop restaurant. The cod was so flavorful and the dungeons crab was amazing. They didn't have a high chair but accommodated us with a booster and brought out a few sea animal toys to keep our 14 month old entertained. It was a great family meal!

While on Newport we ate at Sharks. I got the steamed mussels and my BF got something he loved. I got the large portion of mussels.... Loved every bite! I don't know if we will ever get back to Newport OR... But we will make it back to Sharks if we do ! Enjoy!

We looked around town and saw plenty of seafood at high prices but I'm pretty sure that none would have come close to the fresh taste that is served at Sharks. The menu is limited but all the best places do that. If you make something great - don't mess it up by adding a ton of things to the... More

My husband chose this restaurant based on menu. There are multiple restaurants in the area. Sharks is small, with only a few tables and some bar seating. We sat at the bar, watching the crew at work. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed talking to them and other diners around us. The steam pots used to cook the food... More

Followed advice from reviews and we enjoyed a great meal. 3 of the 4 people in our party are gluten free and we ate like queens. Staff was amazingly helpful and knowledgable about ingredients. We share several dishes and each was excellent!

All of the other restaurants have fried seafood. Sharks was the only one with non-fried seafood that we could find. They're known for their ciopinno and it was delicious! Worth visiting just for that dish.

This is my favorite restaurant in Newport. The only entree I eat here is the cioppino. It is the best!! The service is good and friendly and the price is right. $14.95 for the cioppino. I'll be back and back again.
