We looked around town and saw plenty of seafood at high prices but I'm pretty sure that none would have come close to the fresh taste that is served at Sharks. The menu is limited but all the best places do that. If you make something great - don't mess it up by adding a ton of things to the... More

My husband chose this restaurant based on menu. There are multiple restaurants in the area. Sharks is small, with only a few tables and some bar seating. We sat at the bar, watching the crew at work. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed talking to them and other diners around us. The steam pots used to cook the food... More

Followed advice from reviews and we enjoyed a great meal. 3 of the 4 people in our party are gluten free and we ate like queens. Staff was amazingly helpful and knowledgable about ingredients. We share several dishes and each was excellent!

All of the other restaurants have fried seafood. Sharks was the only one with non-fried seafood that we could find. They're known for their ciopinno and it was delicious! Worth visiting just for that dish.

This is my favorite restaurant in Newport. The only entree I eat here is the cioppino. It is the best!! The service is good and friendly and the price is right. $14.95 for the cioppino. I'll be back and back again.

There are about 4 table, the rest of the seating is at the bar. The restaurant is tired and looks as if they either don't have the time or don't care to update the interior of the restaurant. The food was fresh and good. Very healthy portions. Not much regarding beer or wine selection. The average entree is around $32.... More

This is a very small restaurant so get there early otherwise there is a wait line. We went there for a friend's birthday. He particularly likes the cioppino. And boy was it GOOD. Husband cooks, wife serves. Everything clean, neat and we had a wonderful time. It was our friend's birthday and they brought us a birthday ice cream for... More

The thing that stands out in this tiny hole-in-the-wall is the unusual method of cooking. Each serving is individually steamed on submarine-kitchen steamers just behind the back bar.It is fun to watch Corky, the owner, as he cooks--you can do that if you sit in that part of the restaurant. Karin, his wife, is the only wait person, and very... More
