It has an abbreviated menu, but the food is just as good as a full size Mo's restaurant. As a bonus it overlooks Newport's bay area where you can watch the fishing boats unload their catch. If you are lucky, you can get lunch and a show for no extra!

We really enjoyed walking around Newport, watching the sea lions and the crab fisherman. We stopped for lunch because of the view. We had clam chowder and both enjoyed it. I had a crab grill cheese that was perfect. My husband had halibut that was very good. The location and atmosphere really added to the lunch experience. The service was... More

We were headed out on a crabbing trip right next door, so stopped in for some chowder to warm us up before hitting the cold water. The family size is an incredible deal... I believe it was $14.95 for a bowl of chowder that gave all 4 of us a couple of cups. Best of all, it's very tasty!

A must visit for those who travel to Newport, do yourself a favour and visit during the day so you can get the full view and maybe even some ships coming in to drop off their catch. We went on a Saturday night around 7:30, there were only two servers serving the entire dining area. We have visited in the... More

Very friendly, cozy. Good service and good view. Good food but I have to say the chowder was not quite as good this last time I visited. Still...it is an institution. There are lots of locations for Mo's. I like this one.

Mo's claims to serve New England style clam chowder. Yes its thick and creamy. But it had a different texture than I am accustomed to. Not sure if the roux wasn't undercooked or what. But I still liked it and it could compete with thick style New England clam chowder. The other food was all cooked well, and seasoned correctly.... More

My friend and I had a cup of clam chowder and a side shrimp salad for an early lunch on a sunny October morning. The chowder was thick and satisfying with small cubes of white potato and chunks of clam in a creamy white sauce. The salad was about 2/3 cup of shredded cabbage piled high w/bay shrimp (very small,... More

Mo's famous clam chowder lived up to it's name. Also had a tuna salad melt that was excellent. Recommend the steamer clams for an appetizer. Nice view of the bay.

Had the clam strips and clam chowder. Others with me had the bread bowl with chowder and the fish and chips. The food was very good here and at the other Mo's restaurants. Sometimes a line to get seated, but worth the wait.

We spent a week in Waldport and were really looking forward to eating at Mo's. We get to the coast about every 3 years and always eat at Mo's and enjoy the clam chowder. We were disappointed this year. The chowder was watery and bland, a far cry from what is used to be. The canned Progresso clam chowder I... More
