Always fun to visit Mo's and spend a few hours at the harbour front. Food is always decent and the service adequate, be prepared to wait as this institution is always busy. They told us 35 minutes but we got in, in 5 as we were only 2. Quaint and fun to learn about Mo's history. We will always visit... More

We walked the wharf and got a recommendation for this place. The food was terrible, service was bad and it was so overpriced for what you received. I don't think the food was fresh it all tasted frozen. Watery and bland. We normally don't eat fried fish, but there wasn't much to chose from. My husband had the Fried Halibut... More

Food is average and over priced for what you get. The locals will send you there, but if you get to know them, they'll admit they don't go there. It's an Oregon institution. Maybe it was better in the past. If you're a tourist, it's OK to go there once, to say you did.

Chowder was good. There was a very large tour group taking up most of the building. We had slow service because of this. Lucky because we were comped a nice loganberry cobbler alamode!

Mo's is a seafood place, in fact it is known for its chowder. However you can get what they call flatland food if you are like me and do not like seafood. It is an institution in the area and are very happy to support local causes.

Service left a lot to be desired, menu is minimal, and everyone in our party who ate the chowder was sick. The Mo's in Lincoln City is just 30 minutes north - go there instead. It has the full menu and better atmosphere, on the beach, and better service.

We heard about Mo's from someone who grew up in Portland and Mo's was part of her childhood experience. Without those memories, Mo's is pretty mediocre. The clam chowder was filled with potatoes and tasted of flour. The halibut fish and chips were just ok. It wasn't terrible, we just expected better.

I was really surprised by Mo's. Everyone told me that it was a must do in Newport. I didn't find anything exceptional about Mo's. I didn't find anything negative about Mo's either. I expected the restaurant to have more character, but while it was really cute on the outside, inside it was just a plain restaurant. I had the fish... More

Even though they advertise everywhere, Mo's clam chowder is not good at all (and we've tried it more than once). Other places serve much better clam chowder... like the Chowder Bowl or Fathom's or many others in Newport or Lincoln City. In fact, other places serve better food... period. It's very disappointing and we can't recommend it.
