Read the reviews and thought we would give it a chance. We had lunch with the grandkids at Mo's. The service was great for families with young children, but the food was average. We had the clam chowder and the fish combo plate. The chowder was better the day before at Mo's Annex. The combo plate of batter dipped cod,... more

If you want your seafood fried or served completely devoid of any flavorings -- this is your restaurant. If you enjoy powdered mash potatoes and believe a piece of white bread makes the perfect side dish -- you'll enjoy Mo's. If plain clam chowder devoid of celery or other flavorings is your idea of "world famous", well then help yourself.... more

The food at this local hotspot was by far the worst food I had ever eaten. The bread was stale, the fish was greasy and neither my wife or myself could finish our food. We figured that being on the water the food would be fresh, however it was packaged food that was only heated or fried. I have had... more

Me and a friend of mine had heard this place was famous for their chowder. It was actually probably the worst chowder we had while we were visiting the Oregon Coast. My sandwhich was good but it was fried so I'm not sure if you could go wrong on that one anyway. more

This is the place I usually took all my out of town friends to. I have been eating there for years. I love the fish tacos, the chowder, the fish and chips and just the salad with the shrimp in it. You can even get chowder base to go so you can make it at home which my grandma does... more

First choice for seafood is McGrath's.However when visiting the coast, it's always Mo's ! If you want to find out where to get some good grub, ask a local. That's what we did years ago... have been eating there ever since ( guess you could call it a tradition) The clam chowder is what became their fame... not the thick... more

Mo's has been there for years, we have always loved it. Recently I read some reviews that said other places in town had better clam chowder. Spent the week of 8/14/08 in the area and visited several seafood restaurants. Still like Mo's the best. Not the thick extra creamy kind, but the kind I would make. Lot's of clams, savory... more

Although this place is supposedly "legendary", the food was mediocre, the menu misleading. Minor substitutions were met with reluctance and the service was indifferent. The chowder was not the best I have ever had. This place seems to rely on its reputation, not on reality. Skip the lines, try somewhere else. more

Went to dinner about 830pm on a Monday night and the place was packed. There are only like 10 tables in the joint and they were all full. Once we got seated the service was great. Our server was prompt and friendly. We had the Clam Chowder in the Sourdough Bread-bowl and the Halibut Fish and Chips. Chowder was great,... more

I have been to the coast on many occations, but had yet to try Mo's "world-famous" chowder. Now I can say I did, and I won't do it again. Maybe at sometime they had really great chowder, but our family prefered the Sea Hag and The Chowder Bowl's chowder. Mo's chowder has no flavor, it tastes like potato chowder with... more
