Pleasant time but unremarkable meal

We choose Mo's for old times sake. Used to be THE place for chowder. Unfortuately not so much anymore. We got a family order of chowder along with a couple of children's meals. Staff were friendly and pleasant but spilled ice water on the table. Rather than cleaning it up herself she just gave... read more

Our first seafood dinner in Newport (the evening of our arrival) was fantastic. The clam chowder was delicious, hearty and rich. The Big Halibut sandwich was wonderful - a huge piece of halibut perfectly fried on a fresh made bun that was a treat in itself. This was one of our favorite meals of the trip.

Both Mo's and Mo's annex on the bay front serve excellent, locally sourced seafood selections. While the annex does not serve fried foods, it does offer a view of the bay. Both locations have lots of history on display. Make sure to save some room for dessert. Great wait staff.

I haven't been to Mo's in a while and the last time I was there I was not very happy with my meal, but this time it was just great. I have eaten at Mo's many times and only had one bad meal and this time it made up for that bad meal. I had Halibut and chips with a... More

Stopped by for a quick bowl of chowder. I couldn't even taste clams. Too much cream (and butter on top).

Had halibut and chips with chowder. Fish was greasy and chowder had a very dmoky flavor. Won't go back

Stopped in Newport for lunch on a day long road trip down Hwy 101. We ate at the main restaurant, but Mo's Annex is across the street and sits waterfront. Great selection of seafood, reasonably priced, and they got us in quickly during a very busy lunch hour. Our waitress was attentive, in spite of having many large groups she... More

Stopped in with 4 adults and 3 kids. Good atmosphere for the family. Our waitress was great, but the food was fair at best. I think the next time we stop on the Bayfront we will pick another place to try.

We took all of our grand kids there to eat. The food was really good and the service was great also. We had 8 in our party and they were able to seat all of us together at a long table. The waiter took our order and got our drinks for us. It was clean and looked very nice after... More
