Not as good as I remember

I have eaten at Mo's multiple times, at various locations including Newport, Depot Bay & in between. My family & I ate there my day of arrival in Newport. I could hardly wait. They were very busy & we waited about 30 minutes to sit down. I was disappoimted. It just didn't taste as good as I... read more

Plain and simple. I had ordered the fresh salmon charbroiled and my wife ordered the fish and chips. When our meal arrived the salmon was overcooked, very dry / hard texture from overcooking not soft and moist as it should have been. Our server seeing that I did not eat the salmon but only the French fries asked if the... More

We were in the same restaurant twenty years ago and a very little has changed, down way unfortunately. It's a good restaurant yet but in my memory the clam chowder was really the best (maybe other restaurants have improved their own). My son had a brownie, too, and that was enormous (and good as was my wife's grilled halibut). The... More

Known for their chowder? I found it to be tasteless white gravy with gobs of potato. The bread it is served with..... Meh. I'm giving it 2 stars as I went for the chowder.... Got a cup of it and fish tacos. The fish tacos were tasty hence the 2 stars instead of one.

Mo's is the place for a full on seafood fest in this cute authentic seaport town with all the trimmings. Get your fill of sea lions, sea breezes fishing boats, shopping, salt water taffy and more, then settle in for chowder, fish and chips with the freshest halibut you can imagine. Great service and a lots of fresh seafood abounds... More

I've heard a lot about this place so I thought I'd try it. My wife and I brought our 2 grand children also. I was extremely disappointed on the food. I had the fish and chips and boy was everything greasy. The clams in my clam chowder soup had not been cleaned properly and therefore I crunched on sand almost... More

Tried their famous clam chowder; disappointed. The clam chowder lacked herb seasoning and clam juice. Their oyster burger is a winner. Since it's located at a very busy tourist town, I recommend placing your name on their reservation list and continue your shopping and sightseeing. You will be texted when your table is ready.

Been coming here for years. Same great chowder. Friendly staff annd sourdough bread bowls with chowder are a grest meal and bargain. Don't forget to take home some base for your next meal. Give them your cell phone number and they will call you when your table is ready. There will be a wait during peak season. Took my grandson... More

All I heard about while planning my trip to the coast was "Mo's you have to eat at Mo's" well no thank you never again. My fish was way overdone!! The clam chowder was a little watered down. It is so loud the waitress could barely hear our order. No thanks I'll find someplace else next time.

This was probably the worst clam chowder we've ever eaten. Definitely not all it's cracked up to be! Spend your money elsewhere!
