The Rogue beers are great. I second others' comments about the turkey sandwich on a croissant with honey mustard -- it's excellent! We stopped in on a weekday after the lunch hour outside of tourist season, so the place was nearly empty. The food and the service were both very good. Prices were similar to what I would expect at... more

The food is OK. The view of the harbor is better. There is a large menu with dinners, seafood, pasta, burgers and sandwiches. I've been here twice and had the Turkey sandwich and regular cheese burger, which tasted fine, but was nothing memorable. Other people in our party felt similarly about their choices. I thought the menu was slightly overpriced,... more

If you're in Newport and you want Rogue beer, only go to the BAR at the Public House or the Brewer's on the Bay or buy it at the local Frey Meyer's on the north end of town. The food is below average, especially considering you're on the coast and very over priced. The "service" is the worst I've ever... more

We're locals and had friends coming in from Portland and wanted to treat them to a taste of Newport. BIG MISTAKE! The service was S-L-O-W and our waitress treated us like we were totally inconveniencing her by being in her presence. She was very short with us, practically threw our items down on the table in a random order and... more

We, like all Newport locals, love the Rogue. Excellent beer, and good food. A lot of food is made with Rogue beers, like the beer cheese soup and the bread that served alongside many meals. The location under the yaquina bay bridge is very kid friendly. However, the location on the bayfront is not. Even though it has a "nonsmoking... more

My wife and I just came back from our first trip to the Rouge Public House and boy were we pleased. Everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations. My wife had the Chipotle Chicken Pasta which was pretty spicy and flavorful, and I had the French Dip which was probably one of the best french dips I've ever had. For... more

They make their own honey mustard and the turkey sandwich is to good to be true. I am not a mustard fan yet have often asked for extra to dip my chips in!! Their pear beer is also really good I am not a beer drinker and really like this one. I used to love going and relaxing after work... more

We visited the brewery with friends and our 2 year old. We had to wait in line for about 20 minutes even though there were 5 vacant tables in the restaurant. The waitress was not particularly friendly and not very attentive, but what made our visit great is that they had a play corner for little kids, and a really... more

We visited for lunch after receiving a hearty recommendation from the welcome host at the nearby Newport Marina and RV park. He touted it as THE BEST fish and chips. When we arrived, there was a party of 6 waiting to be seated in front of us. After 20 minutes, they hadn't been seated, nor had we. No one even... more

My fiance and I came to Newport as part of our up the coast trip honeymoon. We are fans of restaurants that offer local flavor and this was no exception to the rule. Our server was friendly and funny, even though it was her last day before returning to school, and the beer was fantastic. I had the Kobe burger,... more
