Yes! I love it!!

This is so much fun! The food is amazing. The folks at the Sylvia set you up in tables and have you play a game. You get to know fellow travelers and have quite a lot of fun. It's not terribly expensive for what you get: great food and a wonderful evening!

I have dined in many 5 star restaurants and none of them could have topped the TOC for style, class, presentation and the food was Divine! It is served family style and they serve three entree's a night with 4-5 courses. Dinner is not rushed. Conversation is encouraged. And the company is fabulous. You are seated with strangers and nearly... More

Excellent meal, although the server was not especially warm, but was fairly efficient. The game Two Truths and a Lie is fun and adds to the family style setting. You can pass if you would rather and that was fine.

Tables of Content has excellent food. I dined there a few times during my stay in Newport and each time the food was wonderful. There was usually an appetizer, salad, bread, entree, and dessert for $25. Wine was extra (about $7/glass). The food was fresh, innovative, and filling. You'll choose your entree that day as the menu changes daily. From... More

Very good restaurant serving only breakfast to guests of the hotel and dinner to anyone. Dinner is $25/person; wine and beer extra. You'll enjoy the small family style seating and get to know other guests. Highly recommended.

The dinner at the Sylvia Beach Hotel (served downstairs at the cleverly named Tables of Content, to complement the literary theme of the hotel) is a screaming deal. For $25.00 per person, you get a hearty, multi-course meal with a starter, salad, plenty of veg, your choice of entrée, and dessert. Alcohol (reasonably priced) and tip are extra. You are... More

We had a wonderful family style dinner here. What a great concept to seat people at a family style table for dinner. We were seated with a couple and brother from Corvallis and San Francisco and another couple from the Portland area who were retired and volunteering to host different lighthouses on the Oregon coast. It made for a very... More

Normally I don't post reviews since I'm a waitress but aside from our bottle of wine, good company and a great view it was not impressive in the least. The staff, I'm sure they are nice people just in the wrong line of work, were forgetful and awkward. The food was hit and miss but when considering the bill at... More

Dinner with a hotel stay is optional or anyone can simply reserve. The tables are set for 8 so you never know who you’ll be dining with. We booked for our first night. The menu changes daily so you need to select one of three entrees when making reservations. Meals are served family style. Each table is encouraged to play... More

Called in the morning of our reservation, to pick our entrees: duck breast with dried fruit, and albacore tuna. Arrived early enough to have a glass of wine while waiting to be seated. Shelly the cat pretended we didn't exist, to our dismay. The bell was rung for dinner and we were escorted downstairs (steep!) for dinner. Met our tablemates.... More
