Visiting Newport and decided to give this dive a shot, unfortunately. We ordered the bacon wrapped chicken, it came out burnt with NO bacon. The chicken was very dry and the sauce tasted like mustard with vinegar. The chicken tacos were okay although the chicken was dry again. Don't waste your time or money. Also, the atmosphere sucked and it... More

Just tried a breakfast there. It was okay - pretty much a standard omelet and fixings. Coffee was average as well. Quick service.

It's called a rag, use it. From the highchair to the "toddler books" to the table, everything was sticky and stinky. Definitely not for children...or adults.

When we walked in and sat down it took at least 5minutes to be noticed and another 5 to receive menus. The owner was out server and had the worst attitude. He acted like we were a problem and inconveniencing him. Being rude when asked if they had regular mayo. It took at least 45 minutes for our food to... More

I would give it 3.5 stars if that were an option. Fish and chips were good, the fish is one big piece and some might prefer smaller pieces so that there is more breading but the fish was fresh, thick and had a crisp breading, The burger is good but is smaller in diameter and tall which looks appealing but... Went with some friends to see some music and have a couple of drinks. Good time listening to the different musicians who came and went with their instruments. Would stop by again to hear who was playing.

These kids think they know down home southern style food, but this place is really a joke when it comes to a restaurant. It may be an OK nightclub, but don't eat there.

I loved the art and the cheery paint job. The food, while not the worst I've ever had, doesn't rate a second chance. The fries were okay. The sandwich while not inedible, was only almost as good as a grocery store deli sandwich. I choked down half and brought the rest home just in case I got really really hungry... More

To see this place from the outside a person would assume it would not be a good place to take the family. WRONG. Cecil's Dirty Apron is a great place to eat and lots of fun. We ordered frog legs just to say that we tried them. The chef brought them out to us, a young man from South Carolina.... More

My wife and I stumbled into Newport one evening, and decided to stop for a drink. Much to our surprise there was a band playing called Undrtow. Fun reggae music, mixed with a little blues. The crowd was great, so we decided to stay and eat. Typical Pub fare, I had a bleu burger, my wife had fish n chips.... More
