We used to eat here quite a lot; although a tad expensive, the food was good. In January, 2014 the name of the restaurant was changed to "Kalye". The menu is completely different. The server told us this was now the cooked food portion of the old Sada "same menu" (NOT!) and the sushi portion was now down the street... More

While this was the best place to have sushi the owners have done something different. They are now down the street with a different name, Asiatico, and a different menu. Prices have changed and they also have a small place in Yachats.

Sada's is located in between The Wax Works and Ripley's Believe it or Not on Newport's old bay front. All I can say is there was a huge sushi menu with many varieties and choices. I have not seen this much on any other sushi menu. Very cool. All sushi is done to order and presented well. Flavor is awsome.... More

Sada's is on the bayfront, right across the street from the canneries. It is absolutely the best Japanese food we have ever had. They have an extensive selection of rolls, as well as tempura, teriyaki and soba dinners. We typically order miso soup, edamame, seaweed salad and three rolls, for the two of us. We highly recommend the Jason X... More

Second best sushi on the Oregon coast, the best is the sushi restaurant on 101 heading south in Coos bay. Decent price and great service.

We went here and really liked the atmosphere. They had a huge sushi menu so we were excited. It was very hard to choose what we wanted to try. It was kind of expensive. The service was nice. We only had a few rolls not a full dinner because we did not want to rack up the bill. I would... More

the sushi rolls offered are $10.00, and one would think at that price, there would be a something special about the rolls. Nope! The sushi & Sashimi special also meager and overpriced $19.00. the special includes no salad, no miso, no warm rice and about 1/2 of the quantity of fish I've received for similar menu items at other sushi... Dont let the exterior fool you, sada's offers the freshest sushi in a town known for its seafood. Also vegetarian offerings that are great. I had tempura vegetables and the shrimp manfo salad, both were excellent. I highly recommend.

Right in the tourist section of Newport, on the bayfront, this is a sushi bar.restaurant that we love to go to. There are about 30 tables, special rolls made creatively, dinner for 3 sushi lovers with five rolls will run you with soda about $60.

Food was well prepared and presented. Service was quick and friendly. Tempura fruit with chocolate sauce and sweet carrot sauce was wonderful.
