The owner does a little of everything and it shows with such a wonderful meal. Everything is homemade. The breads and pastries are made on site and are delicious. Open to 3:00PM on the day we were there. The day we ate there we arrived around 2:00PM and they ran out of a few menu items as the were busy... More

La Maison primarily serves breakfast and lunch, and I've tried both. For lunch I had the roast pork sandwich -- luscious, not at all dry, roast pork with just the right accompaniments on a superior in-house baked ciabatta, with a tasty pasta salad alongside. Breakfast was even better. My friend and I each had omlettes. Mine, the "peasant," had grilled... More

French style breakfasts and great pastries. Very popular - come in and leave your name and they'll phone you when it's your turn. Sancastle toystore is right next door.

I have tried to go and get patries twice in the last week and both times have been unable to. The first time it was slightly understandable, I got there at around 12:30 on friday and the only type of bakery items were the large cakes they sell by a piece. I was really disappointed because I have never has... More

Our breakfast was great but they accidentally charged us twice on our credit card. Once we discovered the double charge, I figured they would cooperate and refund the second charge. After several weeks of repeated calls and polite assurances that they would get back to us, they never refunded the charge nor did they bother to call back even once.... More

Stopped in with friends for a late breakfast. Small space and a little crowded. Obviously popular, as the line was out the door when we left. Woman playing guitar at the entrance greeted us. Music was nice in the background but words were drowned out by crowd noise. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I had crab Benedict. It was... More

We travel to Newport many times per year and have eaten in lots of spots, but this was a find! One block off Hwy 101 and 4 blocks from 20 to head back inland. Really wanted breakfast and they advertise 'brunch' but we arrived at noon. The breakfast menu was not offered. Not to worry the lunch menu looked awesome.... More

We had about a 15 minute wait to get seated in the restaurant, and it was well worth it! We had a buttery, flaky almond pastry with coffee while we waited and the pastry was the best of any we've eaten. I had a traditional Benedict and my husband had the Sardu. The muffins that were the base of both... More
