Best Breakfast Place on the Coast

La Maison is truly unique - our favorite breakfast place on the Oregon Coast! The name is French for "the house." And that's exactly what it is: a little green cottage that is home to one of the best restaurants in Oregon. Tucked away off the main drag of Hwy. 101 at 315 SW 9th St., you have... read more

Wonderful Sunday Brunch, and worth the half hour wait. Best Eggs Benedict ever! A little touch of a French countryside bistro in Newport, OR. Large Public Parking lot is just a few steps away. The Lunch Menu looked great too, which means our group will definitely be returning next time we come to the beach.

We chose this place solely based on other great reviews and were NOT let down. What a gem! Small space in a wonderful old house with many original details. Aside from the truly wonderful bakery case of scrumptious goodies, the menu is great. One of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time. We each chose different items... More

Our favorite place in Newport for breakfast or lunch. We also stop by just to purchase their delicious bakery items (usually too full to order these after a full meal). We only wish we lived closer to the Oregon Coast and could visit here more often!

I have to admit, I was a bit cautious as we pulled in the gravel parking lot with potholes that could possibly swallow a car. The surrounding buildings had alot to be desired as far as ambiance. Once we stepped inside the cafe, it was a totally different experience. You are greeted with the amazing aroma of fresh baked goods... More

I wanted to treat my cancer-chemo mom to a nice breakfast. I parked in the parking lot and left her in the car with my baby to run in and see how long the wait would be. When I walked in a very angry man yelled at me from across the dining room, he said I was blocking his driveway... More

We often day trip to Newport, and we alternate lunch between La Maison and Cafe Stephanie (see separate review). Every sandwich we've tried here has been great. Our favorite is the roast pork. Sandwiches come with either a pasta salad or cup of the day's soup. The pasta salad is fine, not exceptional, but the soups we've tried have all... More

This is a great local restaurant to eat at. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and dinner once a week. The owner Kate is as welcoming a host as you'll ever meet. My favorite is the Eggs Sardou. It's an eggs Benedict with a grilled artichoke heart and thick bacon on a homemade English muffin. I am a... More

Be patient if this darling place is full (additional parking in the lot next door). The food is worth the wait. The breads are amazing. I usually order the roast pork, the fresh baked ciabatta has a thin crisp crust and inside is light and fluffy. The pork is tender the entire sandwich is very light and fresh. The Monte... More

My wife had read great reviews about this place & wanted to stop in on our Brodymoon. We made it just in time as they close at 3. I was in the mood for a salad & ordered the Grandma Lotte’s Famous Chicken Salad. The waitress looks over at the cook & he says he won’t make it. The waitress... More
