This is my appetizer stop before I have cioppino across the street. A Bloody Mary with their garlic-Serrano infused vodka is to die for. I missed the guy serving drinks this time. He is so good and knowledgeable. Crab cake and salad goes well with the BM!!

My boyfriend an I came here on a mission: I'd read about this bar's drink called the Spicy Po Boy- PBR, garlic-Serrano pepper vodka, and Clamato- and was determined to try it. We each had two; they were delicious! Very garlicky, but we happen to like that. There was only one other table of people- locals- having a drink. They... More

We arrived late Wednesday afternoon and were surprised to find most restaurants in town closed. Apparently they were restocking after the Wine Festival earlier in the week. Bay 839 was open so we decided to give it a try. We frequently order Fish and Chips. Hands down the Fish and Chips at Bay 839 were the best! Fresh Cod and... More

We were a little shocked when we first walked up to bay 839's front door. It dosn't look like much more than a shack. It is though! The inside is beautiful and the food is great. Alexis was a great server and helped us with everything we needed. This place is literally right on the bay and has wonderful food. We... More

We came in after a movie, it was late, about 8pm. There was only one other table with a party of four that didn't have food and a table that was about to leave. It took an hour to get our food. Was looking forward to enjoying our meal but had to box it up and get home. Very disappointing.... More

Stopped in after a power walk on the beach. Seating was great with a view of the bay. Watching football, playing scrabble, drinking yummy bloody Mary's. Crabcakes, greens and chowder hit the spot. It was a win - win afternoon!

We stopped at Bay 859 because the restaurant we had intended to go to was closed and it was one of the only placed still open late on a Wednesday. As others have mentioned, kind of an odd layout, and not the most attentive of staff, but the food was good. We had an appetizer of crab stuffed mushrooms, salmon... More

Order the crab cakes as an appetizer to share & then the caesar salad with crab. Yummy splurge that is well worth it!

First of all, a shout out to waitress Mistey!!!! Whoot, whoot! Mistey was out in front hailing in patrons and we took her up on it. An interesting floor plan that is, admittedly, a little weird. Mistey laughed and joked with us and brought us our menus. This was my secpnd time (pointed out by my wife) ordering fish tacos.... More

Seafood in Newport is ubiquitous, and generally very good, but it can get old. We went here on evening to escape, and had an excellent meal. We sat in the bar, and had several small plates each. They were all really good, and the service was excellent. The area was a little dark, though had a nice view of the... More
