Meet the hometown folks here.

Good homemade breakfast here, to offset all the seafood places. We stopped because of all the cars around this restaurant, and knew that meant we could see what the local area folks were like. Good homemade breakfast here, to offset all the seafood places. We stopped because of all the cars around this restaurant, and knew that meant we could see what the local area folks were like. Right away the other customers knew we were strangers, but all you have to do is to remark what a beautiful area they live in, and... More

Normally people want to eat where the locals eat... But you may not want to eat here in this case... we arrived at the restaurant around noon looking to get brunch. The tables inside are situated along the outer edge of the small restaurant, and patrons sitting/eating can look right out from their tables to the parked cars, which park... More

All the large ads on the windows hide the amount of customer's being served (or not) at this greasy spoon. I am really surprised this business is still in business. Not only is the food awful tasting, greasy and served accordingly. The food business's environment is like a run down eatery from the 1960's. There was another place in town,... More

We were looking for a place to eat... We drove to La Maison because it had good reviews but alas! It was closed so we decided to try Newport Cafe... The outside wasn't much and debated about going in... Glad we did... The older gentleman at the door (assuming is the owner) was really nice... Our waiter was really nice... More

First, their website said delivery, but in fact they do not. However, not much left open in town to choose from and everyone was hungry. So, after placing an order, I had to leave the hotel room to pick it up. When placing the order, I was very specific in asking for what we wanted, and asked for extra condiments... More

Superb breakfast! I had crab cakes. Delilah! My husband says his hangtown was better than anything you can get even at the best restaurant in Portland, Oregon. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but rest assured they know what they are doing.

My family comes here every time we visit Newport. My fiance gets the monster burger and loves it! All of the food we have tried has been good. Service has always been fast and friendly.

The food was excellent! Went in for breakfast after seeing an ad in the local travel paper. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing, and service was great. We shared a Philly cheese steak omelette and is was the best omelette I have ever had! Considering I work as a morning waitress in a restaurant.

If you are visiting Newport and have hay fever or a sinus condition this is the place to go. The food is okay and plentiful. Due to it's small size the aroma of virtually everything inside the place transcends to your plate. Take a deep breath and give it a try. It's a good idea to go on laundry day... More
