Nothing fancy but good food

Ate here for breakfast and it was very good. Ample enough to satisfy your appetite. The only place I know in Newport to offer a wide variety of seafood options on the breakfast menu. Pretty much a local restaurant, but the staff was very friendly and the service prompt. I don't know how their... read more

Our family always eats at Newport Cafe when we visit the Oregon Coast. It is a small place, probably only 10 to 15 tables in the whole place. They have a wide selection of food and the price is reasonable. What makes this place great is their Clam Chowder! Its the best we've found on the coast so far. Every... More

This restaurant does not look like much, but has amazing burgers and the staff was very kind and on top of everything. We passed by this location thinking it looked interesting, but it wasn't until my husband and I saw an add in a magazine about their 7lb burger. We didn't think a burger that big was possible, so we... More

The Newport Cafe is really known for their breakfast. However when ever I am in town, I go for the Crab Melt. Its not a cheap sandwich, but it is filled with LOTS of crab, and work every penny. I order the crinkle fries extra crunchy, and they are amazing. The Newport Cafe is very small, but never fails to... More

This is a nice little restaurant. It appears to be a place where friends meet to catch up & are frequent diners. The food is very good & reasonably priced.

Good food, but there was no room for anything. The menu was tiny, not a lot of choices. The food was a little bland. The waitress got mad when I moved the jelly dish, sugar bowl and salt and pepper off the 3 foot square table that my husband and I had to share. It might be a good place... More

We stopped because it looked unique and I saw oysters advertised on yhe window. Homey lil joint. The menue had the usual items you'd find in a diner. No complaints about food. Pan fried medallions of flat fried oysters looked curious, but the thin layer of oyster essence tastes good. The waiter had a beef with kitchen crew. He was the... More

Good homemade breakfast here, to offset all the seafood places. We stopped because of all the cars around this restaurant, and knew that meant we could see what the local area folks were like. Right away the other customers knew we were strangers, but all you have to do is to remark what a beautiful area they live in, and... More

Normally people want to eat where the locals eat... But you may not want to eat here in this case... we arrived at the restaurant around noon looking to get brunch. The tables inside are situated along the outer edge of the small restaurant, and patrons sitting/eating can look right out from their tables to the parked cars, which park... More

All the large ads on the windows hide the amount of customer's being served (or not) at this greasy spoon. I am really surprised this business is still in business. Not only is the food awful tasting, greasy and served accordingly. The food business's environment is like a run down eatery from the 1960's. There was another place in town,... More
