Best food in Newport!

My family and I went to Nana's two nights in a row because it was that good. The menu doesn't change often, but what you order is quality. The bread is from Panini's (a local bakery down the street) and the Nana's specializes in Irish comfort food with local ingredients. They have the best outdoor... read more

The food was not overwhelmingly good. The Irish Soda bread did not taste anything like I have ever eaten in my life, and I love it. So that was disappointing. The chairs are wooden with no cushioning, which I find punishing. But the worst part was the volume of the incessant brain drilling music. The place is small and tight... More

I would not wish this dining experience on anyone. I have waited to write this review in order to give Nanas quite a few chances to fix their mistakes. I waited on their patio for over 15 minutes with out being acknowledged. The service has continued to be atrocious, the food is always mediocre (soggy fries, dry corned beef, dry... More

I was very excited to try this place and left so disappointed. The highlight of my meal here was being able to sit outside in the sunshine, which was nice, and the hippy-looking guy playing his guitar on the sidewalk and the elderly gentleman who came up and sang with him for a few songs. It took a rather long... More

Nice, relaxed pub atmosphere. We split the Reuben and fries and it was just the perfect amount of food. The corned beef was so tender and flavorful; some of the best I've had. When we come back next time, we will definitely be exploring the traditional fare, since time wouldn't allow us to do that this time.

Excellent meat loaf had by me, my wife had a salad with battered cod, equally good. They were really busy but the service was great, very friendly. We were really glad we found the place and would recommend.

My friends and I had dinner here on one of our nights during our vacation. I had the vegetarian curry pot pie - great! although I wish the crust was truly like a pie (on the bottom as well as a layer on top). Others got a side of fries (cold, gross and left uneaten), chowder (enjoyable) and chicken dishes... More

Nice atmosphere. Tables a bit crowded together. We had the Reuben and the corned beef was excellent and tender. We shared as the sandwich is huge. Be sure to closely read the menu as instead of the usual sauerkraut on the sandwich, it was braised cabbage. It was okay but not as tasty as kraut. The wait staff were friendly... More

Great location in "old Nye Beach". Surprisingly good food, a fun atmosphere and excellent service. Exceeded our expectations.

Good beers and nice vibe but uneven service and food prep. Server suffered thru an epad taking our order, had to start over so "the order will come out of the kitchen right." Appetizer wasn't on the table five minutes when pot pies and salad were forced onto our table. Server removed table items and slid plates around until everything... More
