I cannot say enough good things about Painted Lady. Food: Imaginative, delicious and wonderful. Ambiance: Intimate and warm. Very expensive. Rejoinder: I wouldn't hesitate to return.

The food here is very well thought out, and is paced like a traditional multi-course French dinner. We couldn't believe the high quality of cuisine, creativity, and level of service. We were impressed. Newberg is a small country town, but it has grown up along with the local wine industry! This is a special occasion dinner for most people, or... More

Quaint turn of the century home in Newberg. An exquisite dining experience. Definitely not eating on the cheap but a very special place with a very special tasting menu. Let your host pair the wines, they do a great job. The presentation is amazing and taste is fantastic but the service is beyond description. Amazing attention to detail. We celebrated... More

Finally got the chance to go to Newberg and try this highly recommended restaurant, and it lives up to the recommendations. Love the space - beautifully renovated home. We were set in the Private dining room upstairs - the brown color of the walls was nice, but seemed to make the room a little dark. I highly recommend using the... More

This is one of the two best restaurants in the Northwest. The chef's menu, although a little pricy, is well worth the experience. We make it a highlight of our trip every time we visit the Willamette Valley. Excellent wine list featuring local Pinot Noir's.

My husband and I recently took advantage of a generous gift card and had a fantastic date night. The only downside to this restaurant is that it is very spendy - more than I think I could fathom paying from my own pocket, but having experienced it, I understand why it costs what it does and I think you do... My sister-in-law hosted my brother's 50th birthday dinner at the Painted Lady and it was a huge success. 25 people attended and the restaurant put together a tasting menu pairing local wines with their exquisite cuisine. The dinner was a huge success. The wait staff and two sommeliers were first class. If you are ever in Newberg or in the... More

Living in the Newberg area is a privilege to experience the love and appreciation for food and wine pairing, and the Painted Lady accomplishes this beautifully. We have been three times, and never disappointed. It is a bit spendy, which is why it is our choice for special occasions, but always a good choice. Food and service have always been... More

This is definitely a place to visit for a superb dining experience. We enjoyed all the courses and since it is a set menu, we appreciated that they had no problem making the dishes meat free for us. The service was excellent and so were the wine pairings. We will certainly return if we visit Newberg again.

We have tried to eat here many times while visiting the Willamette Valley, finally we secured a reservation and we weren't disappointed. The food and wine pairings were exceptional. The food choices were elegantly prepared and tasted as good as they looked. The sommelier was extremely knowledgable and fun to talk to regarding the various wine regions, many were European...
