What can I say? We've been to this restaurant many times as a couple and also when entertaining out of town guests and have always had fabulous food, wine and service. The mushroom gnocchi appetizer is not to be missed. It is spendy but you get what you pay for. The ambience is elegant. Also for a more casual feel... More

Service is impeccable, food is wonderful. An evening here is special and lends itself to a wonderful evening of intimate conversation.

Set in a quaint Victorian era looking house in Newberg, the Painted Lady is the perfect spot for a special dinner. We loved the food, but the service was a bit stuffy. That's not to say the service was bad, it wasn't, but for this location, it just wasn't as friendly as other places in the area. Prices are a... More

Truly the most rude waiter I have ever encountered. Refused to allow sharing of tasting menu and admitted it was about generating more revenue per table. Refused to provide access to owner or manager claiming they were not there. There are far better options like Joel Palmer house for far less cost and far better service combined with amazing food!... Ordered the Chef's Menu...our first course was a Smoked Steelhead Lox. Presentation was awesome!!!! My favorite was the Miso Custard with Dungeness Crab and Dashi. I would of been happy to just eat a bigger bowl of that for dinner. It was delicious! Service was great. A very enjoyable dinner.

We dine out a lot.. high and low end places. Our expectations were high after all of the positive reviews. We were not blown away by the food. The food was good but we thought both Jory and Roe were better quality and a better value with comparable service. Our bill was about 200 each after tip. .. we expected... More

Dined at Painted Lady in August 2013. Overrated and very expensive. Would not consider another visit even at another's expense.

The building's quaint exterior will lead you inside to an unforgettable experience! We did not even look at the menus as we decided to all have the food and wine tastings and leave all decisions up to the restaurant. Not only was every course (10?!) delicious, but the presentation was the most unique I've ever seen. The soup was poured... More

Amazing dining experience – come hungry! A Victorian-era home has been transformed into a restaurant, with tables in the original parlor and dining room, with more upstairs in a former bedroom. All meals are chose from two prix fixe menus, and can be accompanied by house chosen wine pairings. Not only was every dish in every course exquisitely prepared and... More

Excellent service, great white-linen atmosphere in a restored 1895 house. The menu is a prix fixe ($65) 4-course menu with choices for each course, plus little treats from the kitchen. Presentation is exquisite, with innovative but approachable food, superb service, and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant asked about food issues (in party of 4 we had two lactose-intolerant and a gluten-intolerant.)... More
