Thank you for your kind words! Just so you know we do have a handicapped entrance, the sign directing you to it is at the top of our stairs. In the future when you pull into the parking lot stay left and it takes you down to the parking lot where you can park and enter the restaurant on the... More

Restaurant is located downstairs in a little business strip. Quiet and elegant. I really enjoyed the options of the small plates. The risotto was very good and the halibut was perfection. Wait staff was good but a little reserved.

As the name implies, this is a below-ground restaurant, and not the easiest place to find with a 2-D GPS. But, it's worth it, It's one of those like-at-first-sight placces that you walk into and expect to have a good experience. We arrived at 8, and they close at 9 (not at all what I've experienced in similar holes-in-the-ground in... More

This was a very nice find. Both my wife and I had excellent meals. I started off with the oysters which were quite good. My wife had the black bean soup. For the main course, we had the pork and the beef. Both the pork and the beef were juicy and delicious and were quite sizable portions.

We had a fabulous dinner. My husband had a seafood stew which was very good. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Good food, Great service! Nice atmosphere. We thought it a very good choice. Good that the mobility challenged have the opportunity to use the back entrance.

I will say that one at our table had the duck and loved it. I had the beef shoulder and it was inexplicably not good. Not sure how they could have messed that up. Below average appetizers, average meals...we would not go back.

My wife and I had sampled Subterra’s excellent catering at some wine industry functions and were determined to try the restaurant for lunch or dinner. On 17 June we took a drive out of Portland and stopped for lunch and were not disappointed. The ambience in the cellar is lovely and our waitperson (Diana?) was charming, knowledgeable and happily told... More
