Decent food, great atmosphere

We enjoyed dining at Subterra. I ordered the beef shoulder which was very tender, but had a spice rub on it, that was not my favorite. My wife ordered the potato wrapped halibut, and was cooked perfectly and was very good. My wife was excited about the salted caramel martini, but it was not... read more

We enjoyed dining at Subterra. I ordered the beef shoulder which was very tender, but had a spice rub on it, that was not my favorite. My wife ordered the potato wrapped halibut, and was cooked perfectly and was very good. My wife was excited about the salted caramel martini, but it was not good, way too sweet!

The Newburger was awesome, and my wife loved her soup and salad. Vanilla brûlée for dessert. Perfect service, great atmosphere, very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

We had been traveling all day, it was hot and we were worn-out. We looked on Trip Advisor for where to eat. We found the Subterra restaurant. The 3 of us arrived at 5 - opening. Another couple walked in just before us. The hostess said she had to ask the kitchen if they were willing to serve the 2... More

Had dinner here based on a few recommendations. First off we called for a reservation and were told 8pm is all they had. We arrived at 7:45 to a completely empty restaurant. The food and service we just ok. Wouldn't go back.

We stopped to eat here on the way home from a late business appointment. What a fortuitous stop! It happened to be Happy Hour so we first stopped at the bar to enjoy an appetizer and cocktail. There is a small selection of half price dishes for the Happy Hour and we chose the salmon spread which was a house... More

My wife and I dropped by the restaurant without a reservation in hopes of finding a nice spot to celebrate our anniversary. The hostess was able to squeeze us in. Subterra is a cool little place in an unexpected location. It has an excellent wine selection. My wife had a duck breast as her main course and said it was one... More

Went for an early dinner after an afternoon wine tasting at a winery. When we arrived a bit after 5pm we found happy hour with many half priced small plate offerings and discounted wine and cocktails (must sit in the bar or dining area off the bar and not in main dining room for happy hour specials) -- being "wined... What a cool place. We walked down a bunch of steps to enter Subterra. The name evokes the atmosphere. Our hostess offered us a choice of two tables and indicated that we might want to seat ourselves as far away from a large noisy party as possible. They have a nice selection of wines, But we were wined out for... More

We eat at Subterra often and are always pleased to be there. The menu has something for everyone and the food is local and top notch! Nice small bar and the small plate selection is vast. Go, you won't be sorry!!!!

We had the delightful experience of dining at Subterra on an anniversary trip to the Allison Inn. It was absolutely amazing food. Some of the best my husband and I have had ever. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The surroundings were nice, comfortable and quaint. We had eaten at the Inn before this meal, and we really liked... More
