We hit Happy Hour and sat at the bar on a Wednesday evening. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, the service attentive, and the happy hour specials wonderfully priced and delicious. It is a small place and the menu looks great for full dinner, we just did not have time. Would go back!

Well, we decided to do the happy hour first and follow up with dinner. We went in around 3:30 PM because the advertized happy hour stated 3 - 6 PM. Dinner begins at 5 PM. They were not ready - stated so and asked us to wait a few minutes so they could clean up! Really! Told us, it was... More

Reasonable menu but not up to expectations. For the price, the meal should have been a richer experience. Everything was OK, but not special. Out of a party of 6, all agreed and no one was especially pleased. No issues but would not go back. However, the desserts were delicious and special and the staff pleasant and accommodating.

We were traveling with two other couples and decided to have dinner here. The first negative was that they refused to give each couple a separate check because there were six in our party. Next, they put a mandatory 20% gratuity on our bill. Next, two of the dinners came out cold and had to be sent back. Food was... More

We are driving through the wine country and finished our day of wine tasting with a meal at this restaurant. First, reservations are suggested as the restaurant is small and filled up quickly. Second, we each ordered something different. One ordered the lamb which he said was tasteless. I chose the seared scallops on Ratatouille which is served cold; so... More

This restaurant deserves its rave reviews. Everything was great, from the lovely bread to the Cuban bean soup to the arugula and endive and hazelnut salad to my seafood valezuela and my husband's rack of lamb. Also awesome was my husband's dessert of cherry clafoutis and mine of chocolate au pot. Service was attentive and helpful. Make this a must... More

Reservations on a busy Friday. First thing you are struck by is reasonable pricing for both food and wine. 3 courses included is also attractive, choice of 2 soups, good mixed salad and the main. All arrived timely until the mains. Our wait was too long for the mains, my wife's potato wrapped halibut was excellent/hot but my lamb arrived... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary last week at Subterra, and it was a real treat! It was a quiet Tuesday evening, but we were so happy to have found this charming hide-away restaurant. We started with an interesting and delicious cheddar/onion soup, arugula salad with a light champagne dressing and my husband's veal chop in an outstanding wine... More

We had eaten the previous night at the Jory Restaurant which was really good but rather pricey. We were looking for something a little more casual but with good food and we were not disappointed. It's a cozy place and although it lacks the Jory's great view the food was just as first class for about half the price. Each... More

We had dinner here one night. My husband had scallops with Asian succotash and thought it was perfect, the scallops done to perfection and not overlooked. I had chicken saltimbocca, which was also delicious. They have a nice wine list and very good desserts. Dinner comes with bread, choice of soup, a salad, and then your choice of main course.... More
