We visited the Allison Inn to check out the hotel as well as have a casual dinner with drinks at the bar at Jory Restaurant. What a disappointment. The service was pretentious. The food was horrible. I'm aware of the fact that you don't usually go to a place like this to dine at the bar and eat casual food,... More

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had. Superb service- the perfect amount of attention - not too much/not too little. The food was out of this world. The fish was outstanding - fresh, tender and seasoned perfectly as was everything else.

Even though we were suffering from jet lag, we decided to try Jory our first night in wine country based on its national reputation for fine food-- plus we couldn't get a reservation ( a month out) for either weekend night, so we enjoyed a relatively empty dining room on a Thursday night. My husband and I both started with... More

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at the Jory in late August. Unfortunately, it was a bit windy and we decided to not eat outside, but the view is great. We asked if we could have the sides for starters, and they gladly obliged. One of our new favorites are padron peppers, which were delicious. We have even... More

We had a wonderful brunch here before heading out to wine-taste. Sat on the deck overlooking the grounds of the lovely Allison Inn, soaked up the sun, and had the best eggs Benedict ever. Menu choices were all quite gourmet, everything we ordered was delicious. Best of all was the staff: our friendly, accommodating server as well as the personable... More

This was average as fine dining goes. The service was fine, though less amazing than the airs affected. The food was fine, but it wasn't anything to rave about. Admittedly, we went for lunch, not dinner, so perhaps the evening fare is finer? Still, we both took our server's recommendations and were underwhelmed. Truth be told, neither of us felt... More

We made our reservation months in advance, and we were also staying at the Resort. The hostess attempted to seat us in a tiny booth with no view. We asked to be moved but all of the empty tables with views had not yet been cleared of their dirty dishes. We waited and waited and waited until one table was... More

Jory is a restaurant where we could eat every month if we lived in the area. Portions were generous, the quality exceptional with seasonal freshness, and at very fair prices. My salmon entrée was uniquely prepared, perfectly cooked and delicious. Everything was super fresh and the room is comfortable with great lighting. The wine sommelier was excellent in his local... You really have to visit the Jory Restaurant at the Allison Inn and Spa if you go to Newberg. Everything about it is first class and high end - outside, inside, rooms, food, etc. You will not be disappointed. Food is local and fresh-presented beautifully.
