Excellent food, wine & service.

I love everything about the Jory, especially the dinners. You need reservations, which if you are picky about timing, should be made ahead, even if you are coming while as a guest of the hotel. Food and service was great. Unfortunately we were seated next to 2 men and a lady who liked to drop f*** bombs about every other word and were very loud. Made our anniversary dinner pretty uncomfortable but we got through it.

My wife & I were already staying at the hotel and were told we had to eat here during our stay. My wife had steelhead salmon and comes from a commercial fishing background in Alaska so she knows her fish & loved her dinner. I had the pork special which was pork prepared 4 different ways which was also amazing.... More

Jory is housed in the luxurious Allison Inn & Spa in Newberg, in the Willamette Valley. Jory has a casually elegant dining room with a gorgeous view of the country surrouding Newberg. It offers very gourmet, artfully and deliciously prepared dishes, served by a very professional staff, together with the longest wine list I have seen - mostly local wines... More

Food was excellent. Service was very good, and helped overcome a minor mishap with food. Fish was under cooked, and waiter noticed it right away and took care of it. I've had waiters in the past at other restaurants insist that fish was cooked and that the chef left it towards the raw side on purpose. In this case, there... More

A nice place. It is fancy, so the price and portion sizes reflect that, but the food and presentation is always great. The whole Allison comlex is trendy and new, so the facilities are excellent. The staff are present is good numbers to clear your table and meet your needs regularly. The view is nice, and is a great place... More

Knowing we would never get in on Valentine's Day on short notice, the wife and I got reservations at Jory for the Thursday night preceding. It was our first time and we were very impressed! The Inn itself is a wonderful property. We arrived early and had a cocktail and small appetizer out on the cozy covered patio, warmed by... More

The food is delicious, often times dishes are a different spin on from the traditional dish. I ordered the lasagna- you think red sauce, meat, cheese. Nope- this was a slow cooked pork in a wheat noodle pouch with a sauce and an egg sunny side up. Weird format. I would not call that lasagna, but it was very rich... More

My husband and I spent New Years Eve at The Allison Inn & Spa and enjoyed a prix fixe dinner at Jory Restaurant. My husband had alerted the staff to my dairy allergy. At dinner, I was presented with my own printed version of the prix fixe menu altered to be dairy free. Very special and very delicious with very... More

We had a terrific dinner at the Jory. The restaurant is beautifully designed and very warm and friendly. The serving staff member assigned to us was superb -- friendly, well-informed, patient and entertaining. The menu was a little less comprehensive than we had hoped, but we loved all of the things we selected. My wife had appetizers for her main,... More
