Terrific seafood; nearly everything is locally sourced. Menu is limited because the chef only uses fresh (seasonal) ingredients, and seems to prefer to cook a few things really well rather than provide an extensive array of items. Definitely worth going out of your way to visit.

we were here about 3 years ago, loved it - an oyster/beer bar -was looking forward to coming back this year. Upgrade to the building is nice and I guess even the "upgraded" menu selections were ok, just not what I expected. Never expected Tobasco sauce not to be available with raw oysters, never dreamed of being offered an old... More

Take this exquisitely prepared food, serve it at any restaurant in the Pearl District in NW Portland, and the restaurant would instantly become top rated. But then Netarts, Oregon isn't the Pearl and that is fine with me....

We read the reviews about the terrible service but fortunately there were very few others dining so the service was quite good. The clam chowder is quite good and very chunky. My wife ordered Coconut Shrimp which she said was good but the dipping sauce was way too hot for her. She was able to get some sweet chili sauce... More

The Schooner is a nice place to visit - close to the bay with a very "coastal" feeling, but the quality and amount of food could be improved. I had the Bouillabaisse with a "good choice" from the waiter. He suggested that it would be more than enough to eat. What I got was a large bowl with mostly mussels,... More

This is the second year we have eaten here while staying on the coast. It was too cold and rainy to eat outside the night we went but it would be a good place to do so. Pan Fried Oysters are still my favorite. Service the night we went was fine. There were 6 of us and we all liked... More

A shame. Nice location... Poor table service and kitchen wasn't much better... And they weren't even busy. Took a very long time to get meal and two of party never got the complete meal.. Missing milk and bread. Mediocre food quality. Unfortunately not much else around.. But worth going on to Oceanside.

We always come here when we are in Netarts. We would drive the camper out here and rent a small boat and go crabbing, but if you have a bad day crabbing, this place will really warm you up. The last time we were here, they had started their renovations, so the patio was just started, it's really great to... More

Had a couple of beers and a Margarita in the bar with our crab cake apetizer and then shared fish and chips. The Margarita's are made from scratch and were excellent. Bartender was hopping busy but never made you feel rushed.

We arrived and ordered our food 30 minutes before a large group arrived. Though this group pre ordered their meal, we still waited over an hour for food that never came. We went up to the counter and pressed them for service and they said "we're working on yours right now". That was about 15-20 min before we ultimately told... More
