A very friendly place, great food, great service. Dining area one side, pub atmosphere other side and a charming outdoor patio. Food was very good, arrived hot and the server smiled the whole time. Our server was a local young woman and she was very proud of her hometown; which in turn help our decision to visit downtown McMinnville. Everything... More

This review could be perceived as a tad biased, as I lived only 300 feet from Golden Valley Brewing for several years. However, I am quite familiar with what they do, and am hear to tell you they do it well. Golden Valley now has competition of course, and that is a good thing. But I would still consider them... AND, it's a nice restaurant and bar! We stumbled onto GVB. This place isn't advertised as a sports bar and, indeed, when you walk in the TVs are muted. However, there is a large room behind the bar that has 2 large screen TVs. The wait staff handed us the remote and we listened to the game at just the... More

While vacationing in the Willamette Valley we were searching for a sports bar (Seahawks vs. Packers). We had checked out the 2 listed in McMinnville and neither was floating our boat. Several other places had the game on but with no volume. We just stumbled across this gem and discovered that behind the bar is a large room with 2... More

Their meals are wonderful, Lunch and dinner and buffet's... Service tends to be slow and on one visit, I ordered a Filet Mignon as it was my Birthday, and our friends were buying my dinner. The server SUBSTITUTED my steak for a tough Sirloin, and I was SO displeased, I will never have dinner there again. No, he did NOT... More

This is a brewery and they have a number of TVs showing sporting events, but we sat in the restaurant area (they also have outside eating) and it was relatively quiet and the TVs were not a bother because we could barely see them. We wanted something that was not on the menu, but was a combination of things on... More

Our plane got in hours late, forcing us to find someplace to have dinner on the road to our hotel on the coast. I'd just read about McMinnville being awarded the second best main street in the country, so when I saw the sign for it, we pulled off to look. It is a great main street AND we discovered... More

We stopped at this restaurant on the road between McMinnville and Cannon Beach. Continuing the “Beers of Oregon” tour this seemed like a logical place for lunch. A good menu with better than average offerings when compared to typical pub fare. The wine list had an above average selection of local Pinot Noirs as well. A flank steak salad, coupled... More

Not always easy to find a place that appeals to a broad range of family tastes but GVB is one of those places. They even had sparking wine by the glass for my wife and their root beer on tap for my son! The wait staff knew their beers and after I told them what I was looking forward served... More

Although they don't have a huge selection of vegetarian items for my family, what they do have is very good!
