If you haven't been to The Sage, I would recommend that you go about 11:45, because it WILL fill up quickly! That's a good sign - isn't it? The BEST homemade bread, wonderful sandwiches and yummy soups and folks with smilies to take care of you. I especially LOVE their homemade Red Wine Vinaigrette! The Sage is always buzzing with... We've had lunch multiple times here now and the food is always good, the service was lacking the last time however the food was good as usual, recommend stopping in for those who have not checked it out.

This is kind of a hometown Panera Bread. Their specialty is homemade soup and bread. They also have a variety of sandwiches and salads and they have excellent pie. It is located on the second floor of an upscale variety store and has a warm friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of free parking in the rear off second street. It... More

Been here several times over a year or two. I like the atmosphere and the veggie offerings. My salad was good but not great - lettuce just slightly tired and the blue cheese dressing rather thin. Good decaf but no offer of a refill; I had to flag down a server. Excellent bread but served below room temperature with cold,... More

The menu is from the 60s, or maybe the 40s. The location seems to be from the era of tea rooms in department stores (actually I think it IS from the 40s). The Sage only serves lunch, has a limited menu, and no liquor license. You have to go through whatever the latest version of retail is on the first... More

hot bowl of soup and a hunk of bread on a cold day is a perfect way to warm up a dreary afternoon. Highly recommend The Sage restaurant for a wonderful lunch spot.

I wish I could review the food. I stood at the entry to this restaurant for 15 minutes. There were empty tables and servers passed by me multiple times and just ignored me. I finally had to stop one of them and asked if I was supposed to seat myself or what. I guess if you are not one of... More

The Sage is known for its creamy broccoli soup. They also serve sandwiches on their fresh baked bread. The menu is simple and homemade. A must for someone looking for a quick, satisfying lunch. Don't look here for fries or elaborate grilled sandwiches.

I've been eating at The Sage for years, and the menu hasn't changed one iota. Not that there's anything wrong with that, when everything they make is really good. The house-made bread is dense and chewy. The soups and sandwiches are always tasty. Not an exciting choice for lunch, but there's nothing wrong with being reliably good.
