Adequate -- some weaknesses. The service was attentive, good. Pesto on the linguini was tasty. The added shrimp were . . . added. Nothing special. The stuffed chicken breast (one of the specialties) was very tasty, although the chicken breast was just a touch dry. The stuffing and the sauce compensated well. There is a nice wine selection. They offer... More

We ate here twice during a recent 10-day stay in Manzanita - just had to return for our "final" dinner on the coast. Some reviewers have mentioned the inability to accommodate late walk-ins. I would say to remember that this is a small (9 tables) restaurants that plans on about 40 covers a night, and needs to know how many... More

The decor here is "little old lady", which isn't a bad thing at all. It feels comfortable, but still elegant. The food is always exceptional, I've never had anything twice because I never doubt that anything won't be great...if a bit eclectic. The exception to that rule is their "Million Dollar" coffee, which is some type of Grand Marnier, Baileys... More

This is the best restaurant in Manzanita and possibly even the best of the coast. Small, family-run, cozy little place in a house-like building. We recognize the same staff over the years. Had the best salmon of our lives here - parchment-baked salmon with apples and bleu cheese, WOW! Interesting combination but amazingly delicious. We look forward to eating here... More

I was staying in Manzanitza just before the start of the "summer season". My friends and I hoped to go out to a really nice dinner at least one night. We were so happy Cafe Terra Cotta was open! The soup selections were delicious, I had the roasted tomato bisque and our entrees were excellent. I had a shrimp kebob,... More

For our last evening of vacation on the Oregon Coast my daughter and I were hoping for a quality last dinner. We were not disappointed by our experience at Terra Cotta Cafe. From the moment we walked in and were warmly greeted and seated, we were impressed with the cheerful service. The host, Harvey was a delight and he brought... More

This past Saturday night after a drive down to Cape Meares, we stopped by Terra Cotta Cafe for dinner. I had been wanting to dine here for several years and finally got the opportunity to try this quaint little cafe in a beautiful area. Inside is absolutely charming with terra cotta tablecloths, napkins and walls. Colorful dishes are used and... More

My husband said on a scale of 1 to 10, he gave his chicken breast (topped with parmesan and mozzarella, in his case served with rice) a solid 12, the best he had ever tasted. The linguine with clams was excellent, the special appetizer (Dungeness crab-stuffed mushrooms) was out of this world; even the house salad was so special (the... More

The surroundings are calm, the fish in parchment paper is very good. The wine list is nice. It is a good place for quiet conversation or a special occasion.

I've been in Manzanita for 18 plus years and watched restaurants come and go. This is an establishment that consistently provides attentive service and excellent food at reasonable prices. If there is something special, rest assured with a little notice, they will try to accommodate your request. One of the best!. Rick Bernard
