We have a beach house in Manzanita & dine here monthly on our way back to Porltland. The food is really great - excellent fish & chips, but the wait on average is more than 30 minutes. If you're not in a hurry, you will enjoy a good meal!

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. I ordered the captains seafood plate. The seafood was prepared well but the pieces of Halibut were 1/4 inch thick and 1 1/2 inches square, 2 small oysters, 2 tiny shrimp (so called prawns) and 2 tiny scallops. I wish I had taken a photo of it. Ridiculous to charge that... More

This restaurant provides really good food. I had the Seafood Omelette and it was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Shrimp, crab and a Chipotle Hollandaise sauce. Previous reviewers have criticized the wait time. This is probably justified. We arrived at 10:57, were seated at 11:12, saw a waitress at 11:25, and got our food at 11:45. The reason... More

We had a large party come for dinner. Our food was amazing. The chef came out to chat with diners. You definitely want to eat here if you are in Manzanita. I had the razor clams which I can't get in Texas. They were good. The green beans were amazing. My entire party loved their food. We also had the... More

My wife and I waited a half hour to be seated. When we asked about the menu, the waitress was less than helpful, and only offered feedback when it became clear that we weren't going to order until she answered our questions. We ordered a soup and salad, respectively. We watched as people seated after us finished their meals. Forty... More

We stayed in Manzanita, and had a very good lunch at Big Wave. Great service and delicious food. It seems weird to say it, but the green beans were amazing.

Wonderful find in Manzanita! Fish and chips were delicious! Clam chowder was also but it was lukewarm!

I've been to the Big Wave twice and have had good meals both times. Their menu should cover everyone's tastes and the service was good. Price is reasonable. I would recommend Big Wave to most people.

We stopped into Big Wave Cafe for lunch on a Sunday. It was constantly crowded/busy but we ended up waiting for our food longer than we expected. The food itself was really good. My Hot Club Sandwich was the right amount of spicy but flavorful. My daughter's BLT was very substantial with a lot of bacon. Overall the food was... More

They were about 90% full when we arrived -but it wasn't crazy busy. I ordered the oatmeal, which comes with raisins and brown sugar. I wanted some nuts and our waiter said, "I'll have to charge you for them." I said fine and made the mistake of not asking how much. I got a condiment cup (think shot glass size)... More
