Scattered check out person

It took longer to get a drink made than the entire cooked to order meal. The person at the cash register was scattered and slow. The restaurant was nearly empty. Very odd. It's tasty though just oddly scattered and flustered. Not the chef. They seemed on it.

We stopped here because of other reviews I saw and this place did not disappoint. Everything in there is homemade and fresh. Best fruit salad and we had the Mc. Ocean special, cinnamon roll and late which was super yummy. They have quiches which looked amazing polenta cakes granola and yogurt. Just go there you will not be disappointed :)

We have never seen a small bakery with such expert baking of such a wide variety of baked goods, pies, and breakfast food. Add to that a great cup of coffee and you can see why it is packed every day it is open

Can't say enough good things about the quality and deliciousness of everything they make here. We stayed in Manzanita for 4 days and enjoyed many of their delectable treats. The ultimate choice is the Cinnamon Rolls - light, airy, well-balanced cream cheese frosting - hands down the absolute best one we've ever had in our lives. Marion berry bar and... More

We've been enjoying Bread and Ocean's baked goods (amazing cinnamon rolls!) for years, so were worried when we saw it up for sale last year. But those worries were swept away this weekend in a wave of super friendly service, excellent food, (especially their chicken veggie soup), and a personalized experience. Plus a very welcome something new -- they now... More

When compared against the best bakeries, this shop gets 4/5. The mini cinnamon roll looked wonderful, like everything else, and was a bit pricey, tho' I understand the rent may be high. The baguette was soft, not a traditional crisp exterior. I used a plain croissant the next day and it was still very good. They seem to care about... More

Very busy spot in summer. They run out of their goodies early in the am, so don't sleep in!!! Be prepared to stand in line to get your order taken. They are not open every day, so check their hours so you won't be disappointed. They have an inviting outdoor seating area. Whenever I'm in Manzanita, I make sure I... More

We spend our first vacay night in Manzanita, and as Innkeepers we couldn't wait for someone to cook us breakfast! They have a wonderful selection of sweet and savory treats that are all made in-house with lots of love. We shared a cinnamon roll and egg sandwich with fresh fruit. We really enjoyed this quaint little bakery, as well as... More

They are open Tuesday through Sunday. They are a real bakery with all kinds of baked goods, homemade breads and even sandwiches. During the summer better get there by 8:00 am or you'll see the cinammon rolls and croissants walk out the door in someone else's hands. Oh I forgot to mention the "crab quiche", big chunks of crab. Try... More

My parents and I love coming here for lunch on a sunny afternoon! Pleasant little place with outdoor patio for seating is great. Also located right next to the beach so you can take walk down to dip your toes in the sand.
