This restaurant was previously listed on Trip Advisor and now it isn't. We found it by using Trip Advisor. Recently we were visiting Lincoln City and thought we would check their latest reviews before going back and found they weren't listed, although we drove by and they were obvioulsy open and doing business.

Wonderful fish and chips

Finally check this place out. See it all the time, small and always busy. Asked coworker about it and they love it. Had to try it for myself. Got the 4 pc combo. Halibut was not greasy perfect golden brown. Shrimp cooked perfect. Cod was amazing. So tasty. Cole slaw was very good. Only thing... read more

Heard from others about J's so thought we'd stop in. Now I wish we hadn't because I'm addicted! Now, I MUST eat here every time I come to Lincoln City. Got the family 10 pc halibut fish and chips. Fish is light, fresh, and flaky. So much so that before you know it, you've eaten more than your share and... More

After reading the reviews of the service we wondered if was going to be worth it. We found the servers to be extremely friendly and helpful. It is rather small so for everyone to get fresh warm food it is prepared per order. The food was very good and some of the best fish&chips I've had. If you want reasonably... More

I was told this would be the best fish n chips in the area. I'm always a little skeptical when this comes from the front desk. But I take 2 teenagers and head to J's. There's a line. And it's not because it's such a small place. People were waiting the 30 minutes to get their food and we're all... More

This place was awesome. We corralled 5 adults and 2 kids into this small establishment and it was fantastic. Not a lot of room but the fish and chips are to die for and super inexpensive. It was about $45.00 for all of us to eat. This is a must go!

My husband loves fish and chips, so where ever we go, we try out the local fish and chips. This is clearly where the locals and the tourists all go. We had to wait a bit for our meal, but it was well worth the wait. The fish batter was light, and the cod was sweet and perfectly cooked. The... More

We try to visit J's every time we are in Lincoln City. The food, again, was excellent! The cashier however, not as friendly. She seemed disinterested and annoyed that I had interrupted her use of her cell phone. I ordered the clam strips this time and they were crispy and flavorful. You could tell they were fresh. My wife had... More

Anytime we are in Lincoln City, we definitely make it a point to stop by J's for some fish and chips and a cup chowder. Fish is battered and fried to perfection. Chowder is creamy and rich, definitely not healthy :) My only complaint is that when they get busy the wait can be a very long. The place is... More

Last minute spontaneous choice and we were very please with our decision! Very casual atmosphere but worth it! Try the fish tacos too!

Great fish. All crispy light and not greasy. Super fresh, The rock fish (like snapper) awesome. The halibut bits special is generous and a bargain at nine dollars. Cole slaw excellent. Would be five stars except for the cramped and unfriendly attitude. A bargain but charges for a second tartar sauce.... Seems cheap.
