Fabulous Pie!

Enjoyed a marionberry pie from here for my birthday dessert. It was yummy! The crust was so much better than other bakeries' pie crusts. It looked homemade and was dusted with sugar. The berries were not too sweet or too sour.My kids, who are not really pie eaters, enjoyed and commented on this... read more

What a quant breakfast stop. The pasteries, turnovers, cookies were awesome. A must stop place in Lincoln City for the food and pageantry.

Thanks Captain Dan for making a great birthday cake for our mom. We called ahead and put it an order for us to take to our beach rental house. Themed and decorated perfectly. Magical!

The peach and ship-wreck turn overs are amazing and the lemon bars are awesome! Captain Dan and his wife Kathy are very friendly and welcoming. We are so happy that we stopped there...and there is a light there on Hwy 101 so it is easy to go either north or south after enjoying the wonderful pastry experience.

I love the Oregon Coast! I even moved to the Oregon Coast because I love it SO much! However, I DESPISE Lincoln City. I have never been in a tourist town that is so anti-tourist. That being said, I would suffer through a trip to Lincoln City just to visit Captain Dan's!!! I have been baking my entire life, and... More

It's a rare treat to get my wife a pastry, since she is seriously gluten intolerant. This was a great find. I tasted her selections and they were excellent. This happened to be one of those occasions (rare I guess) when they had a gluten free pie. The crust was exceptionally good. They are also no slouch at wheat base... More

We missed seeing Dan but Kathy was here to serve us. We tried a few turnovers and cookies all were great our favorite was the "shipwreck", cream cheese, Carmel and bacon. I was a little hesitant but it was delicious. They are closed on Tuesdays so plan accordingly, on the main drag south end of Lincoln city.

The two best items I would recommend you try? Their turnovers are the best pastries I have ever had, sorry mom but its true. Blueberry, lemon, and the most mouth watering goes to huckleberry! Sweet, tart, flaky to perfection I highly suggest you try these heavenly desserts. The other is called pirate treasure cookies that have enough butter in them to sink... More

It's fun to take the kids here and they enjoy picking out a very creative cookie. Personally I check out the cake. I'm not usually a big fan of cake, but at this little shop they bake a few recipes that have come through family connections and they're a big hit with me. Divine carrot cake and a close second... Have gone to this place once or twice in the past, but each time before it was just me. I don't tend to notice the cleanliness of an establishment unless it is obviously lacking. However, my wife notices and she was bothered by how dusty everything was. We had a few different pastries and they were okay, but nothing special.... More
