Stopped here after visiting some beaches while visiting from the east coast and it was a great surprise! The owners were great and friendly, the choco-booty turnover was to die for!

A delightful bakery full of pirate decor and souvenirs, with VERY yummy pastry goods. The owners are friendly and delightful as well.

My friend and is stopped in this August due to great reviews on Yelp. Our experience was the people were friendly---and Dan does where the pirate hat---but the selection at 10:00am was almost none. We each bought a turnover. One was $3.25 and the other $3.75 which seems high for a small coastal town, but because the good reviews we... More

We have been to Captain Dan's three times. The pastries and baked goods are very good, with lots of choices, but we find the service to be flat & unfriendly. I brought my Aunt here who was visiting from Chicago. She asked the lady serving what ingredients were in one of the items and the lady responded in a very... More

There is a good selection of pastries. We got the German Chocolate Brownie and the Apricot cream cheese turnover. Both were very good. The turnover was flaky and the apricot flavor was definitely there. I'm partial to chocolate and that brownie was yummy. The waitress was very helpful in giving us suggestions on other places in town.

My wife and I and a friend stopped in to Captain Dan's Pirate Pastry Shop because we had seen it many times when driving by on 101. We took our friend there because because he loves pastries and the place looked like something special and fun. When we walked in, it wasn't what we expected at all! There was a... More

Passing through -- we stopped to pick up some pastries as gifts to our hosts in OR. We got a few octupus cookies for the kids (adorable :-) and selected some assorted turnovers and brownies too. The Beer Brownies were yummy, as were the Shipwreck Turnovers, Apricot & Marionberry Turnovers ---- you really can't go wrong with any of the... More

My husband and I always stop here on our way down the coast to get some of the wonderful pastries for our breakfasts or snacks during our trip. We also stop on our way back home to get goodies to share with the rest of the family. All types of pastries, cookies, etc. Many gluten free choices. The pastry is... More

Great stop for delicious pastries and a fun atmosphere. Plenty of pirate souvenirs and entertaining decor. The marionberry creamcheese and Shipwreck turnover were both very good. Pastry dough melted in your mouth.

Captain Dan's is my go to cookie bakery. They really do it well. The turnover cookies are, I think, the best. You won't be disappointed if you try one. The best part of Captain Dan's is that they have gluten free cookies and little gluten free cheesecakes and muffins. What a treat! And the best part is that they are... More
