We originally walked to Captain Dan's from our beach rental at 6:30 AM. it was closed but we read the sign and it said they open at 9AM. OK, a bit late for a bakery I thought, but it's their decision. we went back to the condo and Peg made a scramble to hold us off. At 9AM we went... More

Great little bake shop. Fine selection of baked goods including some novel items. I had an apple-caramel-bacon turnover that was yummy. Also a great macaroon. Fill the gap between meals admirably.

Walking distance from our hotel the looking glass inn. Tiny place with tons of character. No donuts! They do cookies, brownies, pies, turnovers, scones and coffee. Very expensive, $3 a brownie, $3.75 a turnover. Open at nine am and close early.

We ordered 3 different pie flavors for a birthday celebration at a family reunion: marionberry, traditional apple, and peach huckleberry. They were all delicious. The owner was very easy to work with. Next time we'll try something different.

Friendly service and surprisingly great treats! Must try their maple cinnamon buns and eclairs. I ordered an iced mocha which was just ok, coffee needs improvement which is why I'm giving this place four stars.

Went here after seeing reviews and liked it very much. We tried several different things and it was all enjoyable, but the turnover was the best. This would have been a five star review except for the poor customer service. I tried talking to the woman helping me but she did not want to talk about anything despite that I... More

We ended up purchasing two berry turnovers and one éclair. Quite frankly, none of the other offerings looked appealing to us. The items we did consume were just okay.

We were in town for a family reunion/vacation and were looking for some special goodies for Father's Day, hoping to find some gluten free options too. So happy we checked out Captain Dan's! Delicious turnovers in many flavors, including unique offerings like the Shipwreck and Choco-Booty turnovers. Nice selection of gluten free items too: carrot cake and cookies were yummy!... More

We had 1 of every kind of cookie plus a german chocolate brownie. The peanut butter and buried treasure cookies were our favorites. The brownie was a disappointment but the frosting was great. Next time I'll try a pastry. Lady at the counter was rather cranky and impatient while we made our choices

The pastries and the hospitality are the best! We have to stop every time we're in Lincoln City. We like the marionberry pastries the best.
