It was rated high on line! So I tried it.

I took my 88 year old Mother here for a home cooked breakfast. She had the scrambled egg omelette with spinach, cheese and ham. Home cooked potatoes. It is drafty and chilly in this restaurant but we were able to secure the table under the stairs by the fireplace. That helped. I had the texas... read more

In the past, I rated Nelscott Cafe as a fun place to eat with good "down home" food. The previous owner sold this place and IMHO it has spiraled down to a very mediocre restaurant at best. The service was okay. The food was poor: the clam chowder had lumps of flower they used for thickening. The burgers were tasteless.... More

The food was average. They were out of fries to go with our Rubens so they gave me a salad and my husband got a bag of chips. The beignets were slightly greasy but ok. I'm afraid that with average food and very limited hours they will be closed soon.

Stopped in today before leaving Lincoln City for my favorite meal here called Poppers. They never fail to disappoint. Last time we came my daughter had the bacon and cheddar omelet which she loved too. The sweet couple that runs this place is always a nice friendly face to enjoy a good conversation with while enjoying your meal. I have... More

This was the first time visit for my wife and I. We both had The Wipeout which was very good (Two homemade buttermilk biscuits topped with homemade sausage gravy, breaded chicken breast, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles and green onions). As we were eating The Wipeout we discovered the quantity of gravy was insufficient, so we requested additional gravy, which our... More

First, we really loved the food and some of the best French fries ever! This is a truly dog friendly restaurant which even has a special mutt menu! Small patio so only three or four dogs able to visit a time, but it is a small café. They give out homemade dog treats which our pet gobbled right up. We... More

Completely overrated. Food wasn't bad. Just not good. Service was lacking and there was only one other table besides us. Will not be coming back.

We go for breakfast or lunch every time we stay in Lincoln City. Always had a great meal and the portions are large. Love their homemade $5 burgers on Friday.

Something that I read on the Internet gave me the impression that this place was the new hot breakfast destination. I'll admit that we became a little uneasy when we entered because the interior was unkempt and just "didn't look right". We were still certain that the food was going to be great so we ordered biscuits and gravy with... More

The wife and I decided to eat our first breakfast there as it was within walking distance of our rental. The café is small but the food was really, really, good. I ordered the Poppers and the wife ordered waffles coated in crunchy almonds. Well worth the money spent.
