Great selections of wines, beers and cocktails and some solid appetizers and items to make a meal! And great service.
Set on 2nd story with views of Lake Oswego, this seafood restaurant offers a stunning selection of Oregon Pinots and other wines. The appetizers and main courses are excellent and the service is five-star. A nice bar area and deck. Wine can be expensive but this is a must do for foodies, wine lovers, and business dinners.
I was not impressed with dinner. Prices for wine ok at happy hour. Service is good. I had been there several times. Will go back, but not for dinner.
In a previous review I extolled the virtues of Veritable Quandary and mentioned Tim Mattera who managed it in the early 2000's.A little over a decade ago Tim took the reigns of Five Spice. If you love great food, fine wines, and a view of the lake, this just might become your favorite as well. The happy hour menu has a great selection of small... When I come to Portland, I crave seafood... something lacking in my neck of the woods. I walked into Five Spice because it had seafood and wine in the name... knowing nothing of the menu, prices, or reputation. We went to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived a bit earlier to enjoy a happy hour drink prior to our dinner. We checked in with the hostess and said we would like to go to the bar first. She tried to sit us at the bar instead of a table in the bar. We said we would prefer a table.... More

Have a special occasion, this is the place to dine. Fabulous atmosphere. attentive staff, bar tenders included - and a varied menu with something to offer most anyone. Celebrated my birthday... More
The food is expensive so if you want to try the Happy Hour first, I would recommend it. It's a good Happy Hour. The food is well prepared, beautifully served, and the views over Lakewood Bay are lovely. They have a nice balcony open in the summer....very nice ambience.
I Took the family out for a nice dinner... We have eaten here a couple of times, but the food and service has been so good lately... I am going to make sure we go back sooner than later. They must have changed up the chefs in the kitchen or something... As all four of our meals were excellent. Not... More
