Five Spice, Four Stars

Great view from a nicely designed place that reminds you of hanging out in a Vale resort. The wine list is extensive and the food is excellent. This is a great place to unwind while enjoying top - notch food and beverage while having actual conversation with the rest of your party.

You get the fantastic food, a Wine Spectator haven and the GORGEOUS view of Lake Oswego. This is an elegant venue which is one of my favorites in Lake O. I have to say, also a great place to try wines, because they are always changing what they serve. AND, they do a really generous pour at Happy Hour, I... More

We visited early on a Thursday evening. Not many people there this time. Seafood choices include salmon, tuna, trout and a spicy sea foof combo. I had the soup, potato leek to start. Main course was sturgeon with risotto and wild mushrooms. Pretty outstanding food. Waiter was not attentive and had to search for him a couple of times. Great... More

Walk up the stairs to the door of Five Spice and enter a world with warmth and an urban vibe. Five Spice may be far from Downtown Portland but it feels like it's in the midst of the Pearl District. Guests are greeted by a beautiful, modern curved bar and large windows looking out over Oswego Lake. We went with... More

I like to meet a friend here for happy hour or for lunch. It's upstairs and looks down on Lake Oswego, so the views are quite peaceful. They use linen and table settings with some heft to them, which always makes my food taste better for some reason. I've had several small things there, all wonderful. You can always find... More

Maybe the good team was all on vacation the day after Christmas. Food and service both left a lot to be desired. Wine list looked great, and will assume it was just an off day. Nice location in the bar looking out to the lake, so there were bright spots.

This is a great neighborhood "go to" restaurant. The food and service have been consistent for years. I love the duet of chicken, great crispy skin well seasoned juicy breast piece served with leg meat confit in a ravioli with the best mushroom sauce...I would love a meal of just the ravioli but they only make so many each day.... Great selections of wines, beers and cocktails and some solid appetizers and items to make a meal! And great service.

Set on 2nd story with views of Lake Oswego, this seafood restaurant offers a stunning selection of Oregon Pinots and other wines. The appetizers and main courses are excellent and the service is five-star. A nice bar area and deck. Wine can be expensive but this is a must do for foodies, wine lovers, and business dinners.

I was not impressed with dinner. Prices for wine ok at happy hour. Service is good. I had been there several times. Will go back, but not for dinner.
