We have been going to Gubanc's for years and always have a well prepared meal. Known for it's homemade soups , which change daily, Gubanc's features a broad variety of meals from soups, salads and sandwiches to full meals like fresh fish or meatloaf. It is a cozy spot with a number of booths,a real local treasure, and while the... More

This Pub has been in town for years, and still keeps serving great food at a good price. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, with some surprise food options. Love their Rueban. We have visited multiple times over the years and were never disappointed.

Second visit for me. Started with mushroom soup. Hot and above average. Chicken and Dumplins were like soup, ate with a spoon but exceeded my expectations. Full of flavor. Great fresh baked bread. Comfort food. Highly recommended. Not too crowded on a Friday night but I went early, e.g. 6:30pm. I will likely return next time I'm in town.

This is a fairly comfortable, moderately priced diner. It was very crowded at 6 pm on a Tuesday night. The diners appeared to be older regulars. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive given how busy it was. The restaurant is fairly well partitioned which goes a long way to reducing the noise level. The food? Mediocre! We had 2 seared... This local gem has been owned and operated by the same family for three generations. Their key to success is quality ingredients, carefully prepared with time honored recipes (often improved) and served by friendly staff in a warm, low key atmosphere. Be prepared to wait for a table if you arrive during dinner hour. Salads are great. Meatloaf is a... More

As a salad lover, there are several salads on the menu that I will look forward to trying. Today I had the turkey on my salad with raspberry dressing. The food and the service was excellent! Even though there were lots of people in the restaurant, it was quiet enough for visiting.

Love my meat load! Flavorful beef and pork, with winter vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes and excellent gravy, just enough for taste, but not to overwhelm the dish. My wife had a fish called Escobar, from Hawaii, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Casual atmosphere, great service, a locals hangout for sure. As they do, we went out the back door!

Gubanc's has been a Lake Oswego institution for a long time and continues to justify its place as one of its finest. If you like comfort food, this is the place for you. The chicken pot pie and meatloaf are excellent, but the Friday lunch special is truly outstanding: cream of mushroom soup and fish and chips - with five... More
