We've been to St. Honore off and on over the years and have usually enjoyed its fairly authentic French pastries. Our last visit was disappointing. The pastries were tired and fallen well below their usually high standards. We also couldn't help but notice that the place was as dirty as a bad absinthe bar in 19th arrondissement.

Went in this past weekend with my family for a few pastries. Bought two almond/chocolate croissants, one plain almond croissant and one cafe eclair. Returned home, made dinner and went to eat our new purchase. All were burned. Terrible. Drove 15 minutes back to St. Honore Boulangerie and waited in the car while my wife tried, yes tried, to return... More

Delicious pastries which reminds me of European bakeries. One can also order breakfast sandwiches and coffee is as it should be, meaning that it actually tastes like coffee (as opposed to just dark colored water). As others wrote, get here early since get crowded; otherwise, just be patient with the long line. During the summer, one can enjoy the Farmer's... More

Nice ambiance and a good variety of french pastries along with soup, sandwiches, salads and other lunch and breakfast items that I guess are in the French style though I'm not at familiar with authentic boulangeries. It's a very nice setting and a good place to take your wife or girl friend for a light lunch. Women seem to love... More

Wow. We determined a treat was imperative this morning and used Trip Advisor to find the best bakery in Portland. Trip Advisor nails it again!!!! A flood of Paris memories swept across me the second we walked in. The layout, selections, decor and overall atmosphere makes you want to settle in and stay. And the pastry - delectable! Please try... More

Great place for a really yummy sandwich and fabulous coffee and desert. Inside and outside waterfront seating. Loved it...and would love to go again. Service was good too.

The perfect place to stop and enjoy fresh baked warm bread or pastries with a lovely cup of strong coffee or aromatic tea. The atmosphere is casual, great place to meet friends for breakfast. I come here often and although it is a busy place the staff is always prompt and courteous.

Coming from Connecticut I found this Boulangerie to fit perfectly into an ealry morning walk with my mother. Good strong coffee, french speaking wait staff (if needed), smells of baking bichon au citron, chouquette, pastry's, breads, etc. Bathroom available, seats inside, but sit outside in the early morning coolness.

Lovely, lovely coffee. Worth the wait for my Americano with steamed milk. :) The almond croissants fun out on the weekends but are my very favorite!
