During our visit to Joseph in July 2014 we noticed that Calderas is closed (we asked around, it closed at the end of last year's summer season) and is up for sale... To complete this review I had to include a rating, which of course doesn't mean much since the restaurant is closed (we did eat at Calderas in May... More

We were in Wallowa Lake during a torrential down-pour. The call of the outdoor was silenced by the wind and the rain. Decided we would savor the flavors in this area instead and were delighted to find Calderas! It is off Joseph' s Main street which has so many shops in a lovely house. We had tomato bisque, spinach salad... More

Farm-to-Table...fresh, delicious and nutritious! Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff customized a lovely dinner for our Celiac family: flavorful fresh pesto with chicken/pasta and summer veggies, best-ever lava cake with fresh whip cream and delicious coffee. Owner and staff totally know what they are doing when it comes to avoiding cross contamination. Lovely garden, great eclectic atmosphere, fairly priced and just... More

The food is outstanding- healthy, fresh, and creative. The restaurant itself is a bit of a treasure, too. We had good service, too. Highly recommend the burger. Very unique. Also excellent, the acorn squash ravioli.

After reading the reviews for the restaurants in Joseph OR, we were not expecting to find such a gem! Very friendly service, excellent food. Would recommend making a reservation - not a lot of seating. My husband had the prime rib and I had the parmesan chicken. My husband is gluten intolerant - but even if you're not, we highly... More

When we worried that the mosquitos would bite, they brought us each an indian blanket to keep the critters away while we enjoyed a lovely summer evening in their "back yard"

Stopped by on a Friday night and got the last table in the garden before a live music duo from New Orleans began to play. Nice setting and very local. Very limited menu but we each had the nightly special of salmon with awesome herbed mashed potatoes and organic vegetables from the owners garden that were outstanding. Limited but adequate... More

Good food with nice gardens. Highlight is "gift shop". You will spend as much time gawking as eating

We each ordered a burger which was juicy and flavorful. They have a limited menu. Delicious slaw and potato salad.

Is it a quirky artsy shop with a restaurant or is it a restaurant full of artsy things? Loved the decor in the place; lots of Art Nouveau things, funky fashion, books and cards. Food was delicious (the service was a little slow though), and the view from the front window is absolutely amazing.
