We rarely eat out for breakfast but when we saw this outdoor dining spot decided to stop in and give it a try--if only to sit under the canopy of trees and umbrellas. Both food and service were unparalleled. Eggs Benny with portobello mushrooms added an interesting twist and there was more than enough for two. Our server went beyond... More

Very good dinner, we're still talking about how good it was. We sat outside in the back outdoor area which is nicely shaded and has a fun atmosphere. Our waiter was great, offered suggestions and didn't steer us wrong. He also brought a beer sample out and comped our appetizer (crab cakes) because he felt it took to long to... More

We spent a weekend at the JVI. I would like to thank the entire staff for a job well done. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The cuisine....delicious. What a wonderful place... We will be back!

My wife is on a vegan (plant-based, very low fat) diet, so we called the Jacksonville Inn in advance to see if her food requirements could be met. We were very pleased with the response. Both the person she spoke with on the phone and our server at the restaurant were very attentive to her dietary requirements, and there were... More

Still an active hotel. Several dining options. We chose the lounge. Food was very good. Service was excellent. Close quarters but a good choice on a hot evening. Dining room very formal.. Outside seating pleasant but not on 100+ days.

to begin, we were seated on a lovely patio under a lot of old trees. The ambience was just right! After pondering the wine and cocktail menu, my waiter suggested the grapefruit margeurita made with blue agave tequila, fresh grapefruit juice and served with a slice of candied grapefruit--perfect-- and I'm seriously fussy about martinis and margeuritas! I chose grilled... More

This historical Inn is a must see while visiting Jacksonville! We had an amazing dinner while visiting in April for my 50th birthday. The food was the best we had while in the area and that is saying a lot as Ashland has some fine restaurants and we ate at several of them while visiting the area. While you are... More

Breakfast/brunch in the patio with moss covered trees and red umbrellas perched up high. Bacon was our first best choice. Big beautiful, dark, salty slabs. Me, I indulged in the Portobello mushroom Benedict. I asked for a clean plate = no potatoes, breads, or fruits, and I enjoyed it wildly. That Panda guy, slightly hung over from all the wine... More

The menu was creative and varied. The food was well prepared and well served and delicious! We were so full we had no room left for dessert, which was a shame because there were wonderful selections to choose from.

The Jacksonville Inn outdoor court yard is probably my favorite place to eat in Jacksonville. I visit Jacksonville once each year in the summer, and this is one place I don't miss. The food is always good, and the outdoor court yard atmosphere is a big plus. Last time I went, I was very happy with my meal. A great... More
