expensive but good food

We ended up here because the other restaurants we wanted to try were closed due to the season. Depending on your choices you can eat fairly reasonably or have a very expensive evening. The atmosphere is lovely, brick wall, in the basement, red linens and soft lighting. The service was very good... read more

We have been dining here for 30 years. Oysters great but microbrew choices and wine by the glass was substandard. Frustrating when we had to sit next to smokers. They left to smoke came back and the smell was extremely unpleasant in the usually cozy confines of the bistro. All in all this is our second disappointing visit to the... More

Cozy surroundings, wider menu, good food, and reasonable prices make the Bistro the desired destination in this landmark hotel. Service was reasonably swift and friendly. Recommended.

This restaurant is high class. It takes you back to historical days. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff are so helpful, kind, respectful. I highly recommend if you would like to experience a classy night out, and amazing meal, and unique experience, try this. The prices are a bit spendy but well worth it.

My wife and I have just had the pleasure of dining at the Jacksonville Inn. We enjoyed one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The atmosphere is very cozy, with old brick walls, a fireplace and a wonderful piano player providing just the right touch. Our server, Cody, was outstanding. He trained at the Portland... More

Jacksonville Inn is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Southern Oregon. This is a great place to eat if you are attending the Britt Festival. The president of the United States has stayed at the Inn. This is not the cheapest place to eat, but we consider it a treat. Highly reccommended.

We happened to come across this place while sightseeing. It was delicious. The service was a little bit slow but overall pretty good. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. I had a Turkey Cobb salad and would order again if I went back. The building was beautiful and it was a great piece of history to sit in and... More

By far the best restaurant in the area. Portions just right but dessert you might need to share or take some home. Yummy bruschetta. Brick walls add to the exeperience. Not a place for small children. Quait, old and quiet.

I had a blue cheese stuffed burger that was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious even without the bun. I also asks the bartender if she would be interested in trying to created a drink for me (I have the recipe) and even though she didn't have the exact ingredients (missing fresh jalapeños) she was willing to give it a while... Excellent service. Wonderful, romantic atmosphere. My wife's scallops with potato risotto were to die for. My petrale sole was equally tasty. Our friends were also very pleased with the halibut and scallops they ordered. The wine list could cause vertigo or some other malady. It probably contains five hundred to one thousand choices from many appellations in many countries. We... More
