Fresh food prepared to a T.

I had the c-street Bistro salad and cleaned my plate. My husband had a soup and sandwich combo and said it was the best food he had eaten in the Ashland/ Jacksonville area. It is off the Main street but easy to find. If you go to Jacksonville, eat here.

Forget about the charming outdoor seating and the prompt, friendly service- the burger I ate here is one of the top 10 of my life! I had the backwoods burger, which contained ground-to-order top sirloin beef, grilled onions, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese on a toasted brioche bun with a delicious BBQ sauce. So good! I look forward to trying more... More

...with their creative dishes! Recently we took friends who had not been there yet, and they could hardly believe this gem had been hiding in plain sight all this time. Two had burgers - the Boucherie and the Forager (my own favorite, it's really hard for me to pass up a dish with wild mushrooms), and they both loved them... More

As we sometimes do, we relied on the advice of a local gourmand and sat on the outdoor patio of the C St Bistro in Jacksonville for lunch. Everything served was definitely very good, by a special mention was earned by the spectacular Ambrosia Fingerling potatoes, finished sauteed in butter and sherry vinegar, thus developing a heavenly taste. Not in... More

My date and I both had a cheese burger with garlic and herb fingerling potatoes, mine was called the forager and came with swiss cheese or provolone and wild mushrooms and truffle aoili, it was divine! One of the most satisfying burgers I've ever had. The garlic that was fried with the potatoes had crunchy little bits that burst with... More

We found the C Street Bistro during our visit to Jacksonville and had a very enjoyable lunch at a place where 'the locals' go. Good food, well priced. Definitely worth it.

We went to C St. Bistro after having seen a Facebook post recommending this restaurant. It is charming little cottage in the heart of historic downtown Jacksonville. We were immediately captivated by the cute exterior and outside seating, but chose to eat inside because of the cool weather. Both my husband and I chose pork sandwiches - he opted for... More

If you talk to locals this is the go to place for lunch. We went for Dinner one night. It is very small and communal inside but there is a deck and tables outside when weather permits. The Chef owner waited tables the night we were there. ( one of my pet peeves is... I'd rather the chef be in... More
