Unique, tasty bistro with great service

This small bistro has a lovely garden style setting in its outdoor seating area. The menu is seasonal and delicious. I had a great vegan dish. The service was great, and the prices are cheap for the quality you get.

We had the best lunch of our trip here at this little bistro! I had their lunch special of the day "sambalt chicken salad". It was excellent. We ate outside on the patio, and even though they were getting ready to close up we were told to take our time and enjoy the day. This is a do not miss... More

The food is amazing -- this chef is really talented. My only regret is that we had only one meal here; I would definitely come back. I wish I could give my review a FIVE because the quality of the food deserves it; but the experience wasn't perfect. Our outdoor table mats had food stains on them, and were not... More

I had the c-street Bistro salad and cleaned my plate. My husband had a soup and sandwich combo and said it was the best food he had eaten in the Ashland/ Jacksonville area. It is off the Main street but easy to find. If you go to Jacksonville, eat here.

Forget about the charming outdoor seating and the prompt, friendly service- the burger I ate here is one of the top 10 of my life! I had the backwoods burger, which contained ground-to-order top sirloin beef, grilled onions, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese on a toasted brioche bun with a delicious BBQ sauce. So good! I look forward to trying more... More

...with their creative dishes! Recently we took friends who had not been there yet, and they could hardly believe this gem had been hiding in plain sight all this time. Two had burgers - the Boucherie and the Forager (my own favorite, it's really hard for me to pass up a dish with wild mushrooms), and they both loved them... More

As we sometimes do, we relied on the advice of a local gourmand and sat on the outdoor patio of the C St Bistro in Jacksonville for lunch. Everything served was definitely very good, by a special mention was earned by the spectacular Ambrosia Fingerling potatoes, finished sauteed in butter and sherry vinegar, thus developing a heavenly taste. Not in... More

My date and I both had a cheese burger with garlic and herb fingerling potatoes, mine was called the forager and came with swiss cheese or provolone and wild mushrooms and truffle aoili, it was divine! One of the most satisfying burgers I've ever had. The garlic that was fried with the potatoes had crunchy little bits that burst with... More

We found the C Street Bistro during our visit to Jacksonville and had a very enjoyable lunch at a place where 'the locals' go. Good food, well priced. Definitely worth it.
