I eat here most times I visit Medford and find the food consistently good. I enjoy the wide selection of German beers as well. The Wiener schnitzel is excellent. The cabbage rolls are also delicious. The service is sometimes faster then it was the last time I visited but it was a Britt night so they were busy. A very... More

OK, Jacksonville, Oregon isn't desolate, but it's also not where you'd expect to find a fairly authentic German beer hall experience. This converted schoolhouse is something you might expect if the McMenamins were instead the VonMinamins. (Just to be clear, this is not part of the McMenamin empire.) The repurposing of the building is laudable and the German beer selection... More

We had the wiener schnitzel with fries and red cabbage. All of it was very tasty. The red cabbage has a really nice mild flavor that is surprising. That is one of their most popular dishes and it was enough for my wife and I to share. Waitress had a good personality and good service. Beer (Hef) was also very... More

I really enjoyed the melange of setting, culture and history...and enjoyed my Reuben too! There was a bit of a long wait for our orders.

Stopped for lunch and had a very nice experience. The restaurant was quiet and our server attentive. The food came out in a timely fashion, hot and delicious. The server suggested our beers and they went perfectly with our food. The atmosphere was fun and prices reasonable.

This is a nice restaurant that serves authentic german food. I couldn't believe it! The food was good - I ordered a brat and it wasn't what you would get at a ballpark- the service was good, and price was reasonable. There was live music playing, and was enjoyable.

The best time of year to visit this restaurant is spring or fall - not for the food, but for the view. Sit outside and enjoy it. In addition, you get wonderful food along with fun service. I don't normally eat sausage but the chicken sausage is very good. They have the best pretzels and I have to have one... More

The food was wonderful, but the service was slow. The hostess was also our waitress so she was difficult to locate at times. The restaurant was not busy and we weren't sure why it took so long to get our food. The sausage sampler was good (sausages a bit overcooked) with potato salad and cabbage. There seemed to be an... The building and servers here are delightful. We had some nice wine. The food was not up to our previous visits. Our hor dourve was rather tasteless and the snitzel was really dry. The cooked cabbage and potatoes were great. New chef? Maybe they were training someone... We still had a fun time:)

I have not had a lot of experience with German Food. So far we have been there 6 or 7 times with different people and tried different things. Everything was cooked to perfection. My sister who kind of "scoffed" at going originally, wants to go everytime she visits. Good "hardy" food.
