What a great experience! There was a waitlist chalkboard in front and staff kept us informed as they cleared tables. The food? In a word: outstanding! Very very reasonable prices as well! If in the future we find ourselves anywhere near Jacksonville Oregon around lunctime we will go out of our way to dine here again.

We stopped here on our motorcycle. The place was crowded but there is a chalkboard where you sign in and a nice bench to sit on and people watch while you wait. We were seated outside. Even though it was a weekend, the $5.00 soup and half sandwich was still available -- and it was delicious! The soup was Tortilla... More

The Mustard Seed Café is a great place for breakfast in Jacksonville, Oregon. I had real home made corn beef hash and Apple wood smoked bacon. Delicious!. It is right across the street from the Jacksonville city hall where the farmers market is held.

We ate breakfast here because we got a $10 Certificate from McCulley House as part of our room. Very small , cute and quaint. The food was very good, the service was very good;we were pleased. Servioce was pretty fast actually once you sat down. I had an Omlette with Hashbrowns and my husband had an Omlette with Home Fries,... More

Delicious food fresh ingredients at a delightful small town cafe. Service is fast and friendly. Don't miss the corn beef hash. They even provide a small complimentary fresh baked cookie at the end.lunch is great too.the outdoor patio on a nice day only adds to a already very good experience. I could eat there every day.

One of the BEST breakfasts we've had! Corned beef hash & Scramlets are awesome. Go early (we got a table inside on a Saturday morning just before 9am). Outdoor seating was packed. GF options. We cleaned our breakfast plates! Would definitely eat there again.

We enjoyed our lunch at this charming cafe. The “everything” scramlet, the spinach mushroom scramble, and the cinnamon roll were simple, hearty, and delicious. The service was terrific. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful throughout the meal. The price was fairly reasonable. Our bill averaged out to around $13.50 per person.

With pennies for flooring, wonderful service, quotes on the wall and excellent outdoor dining. We had two great breakfasts and even recommended it to tourists just like ourselves. The food was very good, just the right amount, fresh, attractively served and very reasonably priced. We will return on our next visit to Jacksonville.

Was working in the area, and went into this small restaurant that also has outdoor picnic bench seating. The breakfasts are wonderful, and Jeanine, the owner, is also the chef. You have a choice of brewed or French press coffee from a local coffee roaster, and the interior as others have mentioned is eclectic and funky. How about resin laminated... More

You'll get to know your dining neighbor (and that's not a bad thing) and you'll get a delicious breakfast. The coffee is piping hot, the O.J. is fresh and their scrambles are yummy. Substitutions are welcome. And, if you're in the mood for a good ol' country breakfast with sausage gravy it gets "A" ratings too.
