I used to love their blintzes, and greatly respected their gluten free, homemade and organic commitments to making great food everyone could enjoy. Unfortunately after experiencing two dramatic health issues in one year, the owners decided it was time to retire. Hope you got to enjoy them while they were here!

This restaurant is now closed! The food was good... Trip advisor needs a method for reporting closed businesses :(

This restaurant suffers from a split personality, namely the couple who own and run it day to day. Good Jewish food menu and GREAT Pastrami, the best in Southern Oregon. However, while Mr. MacLevin is very nice and personable the Mrs. has demonstrated to be short and rude while waiting on her customers and they only except cash.

Avoid this place! Service is very poor, had to ask several times for items we had ordered. No refills ie....water and hot water for my tea. Owners presented to care less that we were unhappy.

I wanted to treat an Australian friend to her first Reuben sandwich so I chose a Jewish delicatessen. Unfortunately, the sandwich was mediocre. Also the vegetable soup was stone cold. When we told our waitress/owner, she said not one word...just took the soup, and when she brought it back steaming hot, she never said a word of apology. The only... More

Stopped by here for lunch, ordered the $12 dollar Reuben thinking it would rival Sherman's Deli in Palm Springs Or David's in San Francisco for the price, but it was quite small. Tasty, with house made brisket and sauerkraut, but not worth the price tag. The potato salad was good and my sister's blintzes looked yummy. The server (owner? A... More

When we entered this diner, we were greeted with droll humor from the owner. We decided to come on in, in spite of the high prices on the posted menu. Bantering over milkshakes turned into extreme disappointment when the food arrived. The chalkboard sign proclaimed that reubens were available, but when ordered, we were told they were out. The owner/wife... More

On our travels around Ashland, we decided to take a trip to surrounding areas. Jacksonville is a quaint town worth a stop. Since we always need gluten-free options, we saw an advertisement for MacLevin's and were shocked to find a totally accommodating menu! We were also shocked to find a New York style deli in the midst of a really,... More

Small little eatery (serving breakfast and lunch) with "home cooked" (and you know it is !!!) menu choices. Their sandwiches are wonderful - and don't miss the cole slaw !!! Divine....

This place is just gross. Their meat is tough and not like ANYTHING you have ever seen in a deli. I had such high hopes for this place but they are disappointing. I don't know about you, but I prefer my corned beef NOT to be a grayish-green color...avoid and go to the Bellla.
