Good home cooking. It makes a great place to have a relaxed, low key dinner. The ribs are very good. Apple strudel like mom made. It's a good spot to have lunch with friends where you won't be rushed so they can turn the table. Great breakfasts, too.

I had the curry chicken salad during the summer months and it was wonderful. Fresh fruit, salad greens and chicken salad. I heard that in the winter it is in a sandwich form but either way it was mouthwatering.

We love this homey little cafe about a block from downtown Independence in a revamped cottage. The breakfasts are especially fabulous. Dinners are always good too although the choices are somewhat limited which is typical for a small place. They have an outdoor patio and front porch to eat outside if the weather is nice. Never had anything but a... More

Stopped by for breakfast. Oh boy! Glad we did. This is an old converted house. Very cute and quaint! Friendly service. I had the delux meat breakfast. Good god. Egg omlet stuffed with meat. There was ground sausage, cut up Mt. Angel brat, bacon, ham, and cheese. Pan fried potatoes were great. I was so full. I heard a customer... More

The pink house is a all and personal restored and converted house. The owner is usually on site which makes for a well run operation. The menu is quite limited but very adequate. The quality and quantity is good. This will definitely beat out any chain or highway restaurant for atmosphere and food.

The waitress was very friendly, the menu was sufficiently varied, and the atmosphere was charming. On a rainy day (which happens frequently in Oregon) this would definitely be a place to get away from it all with some cottage warmth. My friend ordered a sandwich with the Carrot-Ginger Soup, which she thought was amazing. I had a green salad with... More

Set in an old house, this little restaurant offers good food, a pleasant environment and no feeling of being rushed. We had brunch about 11:30 am., there was only breakfast on the menu. The fried potatoes were excellent, among a generous breakfast offering. Good service. Price was quite good. But the nice thing is that we stayed for over 90... More

Very slow service. If we hadn't requested bread we would have actually left hungry, a first for a dinner out. My salmon was overcooked and my husband said his batter-coated halibut tasted like Gorton's. Be aware that the reason the dinners seem so reasonably-priced is that the only thing that comes with the entree is a large dinner salad (ie.... More

Had their Warm Black Forest Ham (half) Sandwich with cup of Tuscan Vegetable soup. Delicious and only $7.50. Was plenty of food. I am quite full. The atmosphere is also very nice.

Finding the Pink House requires driving Monmouth St Independence and looking for the signs, it’s not that easy to find. Maybe not everyone wants the Pink House to be discovered; even now there can be a bit of a wait to get in during lunch. I would like to say that I have tried many of the interesting items on... More
