Great place to Hook Up With Old Friends

This quaint early 1900's bright pink colored house located off any main street serves both American type lunches or interesting salads like curry chicken or Greek chicken breast. This out of the way restraunt is unique in that the building is an old 2-3 story house which is painted pink - flowers lining the sidewalk and along the front porch. The small rooms are set up with just a few tables each both upstairs and down with one larger room which would seat about 8 people. However, the... More

we were a little early, the owner was just opening up and the cook had not arrived yet. No problem, the owner served us Portland's finest coffee, Stumptown Hair Bender and we took our time selecting our choice. I had a scramble that had to be 5000 calories, oh was that good. This is the second time we have eaten... More

Good home cooking. It makes a great place to have a relaxed, low key dinner. The ribs are very good. Apple strudel like mom made. It's a good spot to have lunch with friends where you won't be rushed so they can turn the table. Great breakfasts, too.

I had the curry chicken salad during the summer months and it was wonderful. Fresh fruit, salad greens and chicken salad. I heard that in the winter it is in a sandwich form but either way it was mouthwatering.

We love this homey little cafe about a block from downtown Independence in a revamped cottage. The breakfasts are especially fabulous. Dinners are always good too although the choices are somewhat limited which is typical for a small place. They have an outdoor patio and front porch to eat outside if the weather is nice. Never had anything but a... More

Stopped by for breakfast. Oh boy! Glad we did. This is an old converted house. Very cute and quaint! Friendly service. I had the delux meat breakfast. Good god. Egg omlet stuffed with meat. There was ground sausage, cut up Mt. Angel brat, bacon, ham, and cheese. Pan fried potatoes were great. I was so full. I heard a customer... More

The pink house is a all and personal restored and converted house. The owner is usually on site which makes for a well run operation. The menu is quite limited but very adequate. The quality and quantity is good. This will definitely beat out any chain or highway restaurant for atmosphere and food.

The waitress was very friendly, the menu was sufficiently varied, and the atmosphere was charming. On a rainy day (which happens frequently in Oregon) this would definitely be a place to get away from it all with some cottage warmth. My friend ordered a sandwich with the Carrot-Ginger Soup, which she thought was amazing. I had a green salad with... More

Set in an old house, this little restaurant offers good food, a pleasant environment and no feeling of being rushed. We had brunch about 11:30 am., there was only breakfast on the menu. The fried potatoes were excellent, among a generous breakfast offering. Good service. Price was quite good. But the nice thing is that we stayed for over 90... More
