We came to the restaurant as part of a large convention tour group. We were seated in a room that had a beautiful view of the river. We were able to walk out on a deck and take some beautiful pictures. The food was pretty good, the dessert was fantastic! Overall a nice place to have lunch.

Yes, the view of the river is beautiful but the food and service on whole was average. I dined here twice. First night, I was dining by myself. Didn't start well in the Cebu Lounge, where their happy hour specials don't include any specials on drinks of any kind, only small plates are part of the happy hour. A glass... More

Finally back in Hood River to celebrate my birthday. The Riverside offers a beautiful view, wonderful food (the stuffed french toast is my favorite for breakfast) and a staff that are so accommodating it makes me feel very special.

Set right on the Columbia river in Hood River, this restaurant is real easy to get too off the freeway, attached ot the Best Western Hotel, and the nice Cebu Lounge. I've eaten here several times and never had a bad meal.

The view of the river was beautiful, and the wine was fairly nice. However, in all other ways the dining experience was disappointing. The waiter was arrogant and inept. For example, he claimed the wine was not served with the first course because the keg was being changed out. When we asked about the croutons that were mentioned in the... More

The location of this restaurant is great. Go for the view because the food is secondary. My wife ordered a spinach salad which she said was pretty strange with a very bland dressing. I ordered a Ceasar salad which the menu said was served with Parmesan cheese and croutons. The Parmesan was the kind that comes out of a can... More

Not just a place to stop for the night; but a true destination spot. Order a cornmeal waffle for breakfast and you will be satisfied until your late lunch. Lunch should always start with their homemade tomato soup. Food is great with desserts that change weekly - gluten free offered, too. Highly recommend sitting outside and eating next to the... More

We ate here because we we staying at the associated hotel (and they gave us a coupon for 2nd need at half price!). The food was good, but the treatment was a little heavy handed - a little more finesse with the spices and accompaniments would have been good. However, taken with the fantastic view across the river and the... More

I absolutely enjoyed the food at the Riverside. Great choices on the menu, great view of the river and the seating out on the deck was wonderful with the Triangle Shade Sails. The breakfasts were wonderful and complimentary. Who could ask for anything more?

I've already made reference to this restaurant when reviewing the hotel but thought it needed it's own special review. The menu was lovely, the choice excellent - even gluten free pasta which took my fancy together with beautiful meatballs. The presentation was wonderful, terrific service - very friendly and well organised. Great choice of wines. It's quite rare to have... More
