As a native of Hood River, Riverside has long been my favorite restaurant in the Gorge. Wonderful food and atmosphere--you especially can't beat sitting out on the deck in the summer, it's gorgeous. I come here frequently on the weekends for brunch, and the food is always amazing. Dinner is great too--don't miss the salmon special, it's in my opinion... More

We sat outside on an August late afternoon and enjoyed the beautiful scenery by the Columbia River... and ate some great food at Happy Hour prices! Our favorite item was the $12.00 10 oz. Certified Angus Natural Sirloin with French Fries - very tender and cooked perfectly! What a value! We also sampled several $5 pastas (half-orders). The macaroni and... More

Amazing. Denny's ingredients prepared poorly. Fish cooked to death. $30 for prime rib a dog wouldn't eat. Great view so they don't care, they don't have to: and they don't. Often in a restaurant you can overhear other diners talking about a local attraction or event. Here it's just how bad the food was. Pleasant staff, clean. The food preparation... More

Had a late lunch on the patio overlooking the Columbia River. The food was good. Not gourmet, but a nice selection of sandwiches, burgers and lighter meals. My fish and chips were excellent. My partners salmon burger was nicely prepared, The fries are excellent and arrived piping hot! Only drawback is that the restaurant patio is attached to the patio... More

Maybe not a James Beard award winner but very good food, excellent staff, and a killer view. Fresh salmon was fantastic, cooked perfectly. Pretty creative recipes and flexible (we asked for a change in the way it was served and they accommodated). The portions are nice sized and won't leave you hungry as well.

I would give this a five star rating except the entertainment in the bar takes away much of the positive experience previously earned. Much of the food is locally grown as is the wine. The salmon is fresh from the Columbia River. Beautiful view of the river and mountains on the Washington side. Service was good with friendly servers. Outdoors... More

Views outside are great! Service was wonderful! Best food we have had in hood river. It's not portland quality, but what is? Really, I'd go back to this place in a heartbeat. The pasta that has sausage and is spicy is the best. The gnochhi is also great. We really enjoyed this place.

I really enjoyed the breakfast brunch that was included as part of our stay at the Hood River Inn over Labor Day. The service was friendly and prompt at the front desk. Although they were busy and crowded with the big event and long weekend, my wife and I were seated promptly. Our waitress set us up with our coffees... More

If you come and stay here you must get a river seat on the patio in the summer time. My wife and I have visited here again for a 2nd time in 2 years travelling from the UK. The view and atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful and although had to wait for an outside seat,... More

We only had breakfast here, but it was delicious. Our server was Louis and he was very prompt and courteous and made some great menu suggestions. I had the corned beef hash that was fresh and house made. My wife enjoyed her kale and quinoa egg dish and my son went on and on about how good his prime rib... More
