Bette's offered wonderful service and a great location to most shops. The food was fine but not memorable.
Fantastic breakfast. They have the basics, but they also have some higher end options which made it a bit tough to choose. I went with their eggs florentine and everything was cooked perfectly, with big, thick bacon slices. I can imagine some locals eating here every darned day with their 2-egg, hashbrowns and toast plate for $5.95. Enormous cinnamon rolls... More
We stopped in Bette's Place for break from the road and a little coffee/food pick me up. Having experienced many a good diner throughout New England, New Jersey, and the like, we are always on the lookout for something of that nature as you just don't find them much outside the Northeast. I'm not going to claim this was in... More
We have never been here before. Stopped in on a Monday morning at about 10:30. We had normal service and very good food. My wife bakes all our own breads and things, yet their cinnamon rolls were awesome. The pancakes were very good! The size filled the whole plate. The crab omelette that I got was the best I've ever... More
totally inconsistent this place is. The servers suck, the coffee is bland, the sandwich I could have made at home for 1 dollar in materials and the fries were the frozen breaded garbage that sucks. If your not doing fresh cut fries today then get the hell out of the food business. There are better places in Hood River. Skip this... More
I've eaten here about 5 times in the last 5 years and I'm just never impressed. The eggs are usually cooked pretty well, but the hash browns are usually soggy, even when requested crispy, the hollandaise is bland, so steer clear of the Benedict here, unless you like a mildly flavored breakfast. The service is usually very good. I keep... More
I'm not a big fan of piles of pancakes and king-size sandwiches, but this upscale, homier version of Denny's has better food and better service (by experienced wait staff). There is great variety and everything is cooked properly. A standout eatery in a town where food is not always consistent.
After a night in HR i searched TA for a good place for breakfast. Bette's place came up and we tried it. Very busy for an early Sunday morning. Seemed to be filled with locals. Service was great, and had plenty of food left to take with us. The cinnamon rolls were out of this world.
We ask a local where we could get a good breakfast and were directed here. Great little restaurant in the heart of the city. I had fresh crab Benedict and hubby had some kind of meaty omelette. Both were great. Evidently they have lines out the door in the summertime. Got some freshly made muffins to go that look delicious.... More
Great spot for breakfasts. We were there on a Sunday morning and the place was very busy. It took a while before we got an order in. We were not in a big hurry so that was OK. It didn't take too long to get food once the order was in. Lots of good breakfast specials. The food was good... More
