Bette's has the feel of the type of cafe I grew up frequenting, of which, unfortunately there are too few left! We went for breakfast and each of us took half home with us. The cinnamon roll, however, was the star of the show. Rolls are made only certain days of the week and we lucked out. This was not... More

We were in town for a wedding and stopped here on our way back to Portland. The Maple Bars are amazing. Also after having hotel coffee the past couple of days their coffee was amazing. A few out of town guests from SoCal loved this little place and said it was some of the best eggs he's had at diner.... More

I would definitely recommend this place but you will have to wait if you go at popular times. Everything about the breakfast had a special touch and I was pleasantly surprised by the service.

My husband and I ate breakfast here on June 20th before our ride on the polar express train. Very wonderful food and staff. Loved every bite. We saved the cinnamon roll until we got home and it was very yummy as well!

The food was just excellent and fresh for a great price! Service was good. When we arrived to eat at about 9:45 there were a couple of tables available but by the time we left there was a group of people waiting. Get there early. The cinnamon rolls are monsterous and the maple bars are equally big!

Reliable, well-prepared large breakfasts served by friendly staff. When in season, I order a bowl of seasonal fresh fruit (berries, peaches) and a biscuit or muffin. Delicious!

I have been going here for breakfast nearly every day of my work trip. Consistently good food with excellent service. The servings are huge and tasty. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to Bette’s Place during two visits to the greater Portland/Mt. Hood region. Located in Hood River, they offer smoothies that are generous on the fruit, perfectly cooked omelettes, and waffles that can be made gluten-free. My girlfriend thought they were some of the best waffles she’d ever had. It’s a great place to start the day if you... More

It seemed everything on the breakfast menu was under $10 which is how should be for breakfast. The portions stood up to the American size. We were biking after so we took the leftovers for lunch and it was just as good. I had the breakfast bun with sausage which was a little greasy but I enjoyed it and was... More

it's easy to see why this place has been here so long. The food was good, the service was good and the prices were excellent. I had a bacon , asparagus and cheddar frittata with hashbrowns and sourdough toast.
