Yeah. I'm not kidding. They don't have them every day, but we were lucky to hit Hood River on a day when Bette's DID have their cinnamon rolls. I wouldn't have even known had I not gotten up from our booth to check out their pie rack--which looked amazing too. But there to my left, were dozens of cinnamon rolls... More

Stopped for lunch and one of us thrilled to find breakfast served all day. The careful eater in the group delighted with gluten-free biscuits. And all of us swooned over fresh, locally grown marion berry pie. New to the PNW? Marion berries are hybridized blackberries developed by USDA and Oregon University, only grown in Oregon. A must-have!

The food is very good, but, you must come early or they run out of food. We went at 2:30 for Sunday brunch and they close at 3:00. We wanted food that we read about on trip advisor and they were out of most things we wanted. We finally found things that they had. The food was very good. They... More

As a stop between Cascade Locks and The Dalles, Hood River old town is a must and if you are there sometime in the morning, Bette's place is a good place to stop. It reminded me of an old time diner...several tables, booths and a counter. Our waitress suggested we try a cinnamon roll to share between the 4 of... More

Old School Great Food ! The breakfast comes with multiple options including home made muffins or pancakes. They even added fresh strawberries and whipped cream to the pancakes! Red potatoes or Hash Browns? Name your favorite egg style Omelette, Benedict, Scramble or Burrito style? With crab? Western? Florentine? Veggies? Name your breakfast cheese or meat add in. Too full to... More

Bette's Place is nothing fancy, but it sure is delicious. I had a cobb salad and it was very tasty. The cinnamon buns are gigantic and excellent! The waitresses are fairly friendly. The wait wasn't too long. The rest rooms are out of the restaurant and down the hall in the little mini mall.

With all the raves about the cinnamon rolls, I had to have one. It was quite large, but lacked the cinnamon and sugar goodness. Coffee was okay. The friendly service they proudly advertise was not happening on this morning.

Cinnamon Rolls from Bettes are a must do if you are visiting Hood River. Order them early as they go VERY quickly. I have eaten there one time, but had the cinnamon rolls on more than one occassion. The food is really good...the cinnamon rolls are OUTSTANDING!

Bette's has the feel of the type of cafe I grew up frequenting, of which, unfortunately there are too few left! We went for breakfast and each of us took half home with us. The cinnamon roll, however, was the star of the show. Rolls are made only certain days of the week and we lucked out. This was not... More

We were in town for a wedding and stopped here on our way back to Portland. The Maple Bars are amazing. Also after having hotel coffee the past couple of days their coffee was amazing. A few out of town guests from SoCal loved this little place and said it was some of the best eggs he's had at diner.... More
