This place offers great people watching as it seems to be a good mix of locals and tourists. I found the portions so large it turned me off and the food is just basic breakfast stuff, nothing to rave about, kind of unhealthy diner preperation. Coffee...so, so. Waitress was friendly and the service fast.

This place is not pretentious, it's just very good, down-home food. This is the place I go to when I want breakfast the way it was when I was a kid- without gourmet flair. My kids pick this place over the other breakfast places in town hands down. It is simple, good and friendly.

Traveled with our 13 year old son on the way back from Montana, looking for lunch and were happy to find Bette's place. Comfortable, friendly and healthy portions at a very reasonable price. We'll come back.

We have eaten at Bette's before. This is our 2nd visit. You will get your money's worth. The service was great. The food was EXCELLENT. If am ever in HOOD RIVER again am going back.
