We have been going to the Charburger off and on since we moved here centuries ago. Like every small town back then, there was a booth reserved by the front door for the local guys who came in to discuss local and world issues and have a good breakfast. Please keep in mind that this place is not a chain,... More

Was close to my hotel but when I walked in there for lunch at 11:30 just about all the tables were unbussed and full of dirty dishes. Found a chair in the back to sit down and wait for my to go order. Burger was okay but I was put off by state of restaurant and it definitely impacted my... More

Went there with my wife & friends for a burger. Not bad at all. I had a bacon cheese burger and my wife had a bacon avocado burger with cheddar. Both burgers were quite good with fresh ingredients. The burger patties were a bit small but the sandwiches were tasty. The fries were fine, nothing special at all and they... More

First time we have been to this Charburger. The food was great, prices very fair but the service was a little slow. This location is much better than the one in Cascade Locks where the menu has changed and the prices have gone up but the quality has suffered.

We had 2 BBQ sandwiches, they have their own outdoor smoker... They were ok but overpriced...I think the pricing is keeping locals away... A good place for traditional breakfasts... Located west of the Columbia Gorge Hotel...

We had just rafted the White Salmon and stopped by for a quick lunch. We walked into a restaurant that was full of historical pictures. Restaurant was a little old but the booths were comfortable, and staff extremely friendly, and the food delicious and reasonably priced. We both got different hamburgers and one got a milkshake. We both were full... More

We were staying next door at the Vagabond Lodge, a group of 8 people, and thought we would try this out. Overall everyone was happy with their meals. They were out of items when we arrived. Normal for prime rib, not so normal for the vegetables. But still it was good. I had the sirloin with bake potato. others had... More

...unless you like a greasy gut-bomb. Wife had a greasy patty melt with soggy bread and undercooked fries. She couldn't eat it all so I had a couple bites; threw it all away. I had mushroom swiss burger with undercooked fries. Onion rings looked good but had to soak up the oil with napkins before eating. Some thicker breading not... More

I ate here because it was next door to the Vagabond Lodge and I didn't want to get in the car again to go eat. The chopped steak was good and served with real mashed potatoes, but the place itself appears fairly worn. They don't take orders at your table so you have to order up at the counter. They... More

This place is an absolute must if you are ever around Hood River, particularly if you are coming off hiking or rafting/kayaking and have built up a good appetite. The food is good and it is just the right thing to hit the spot. I tend to get the bacon cheeseburger with a friend egg on it - probably one... More
