Our party went here for lunch. The hotel is impressive, with lovely 20's period wood work, paned windows, and an unbeatable view of the stunning Columbia River Gorge. We all had sandwiches, including a Reuben, Big Wind Burger, and a Monte Cristo. All were nicely prepared, not too large, and included really delicious sweet potato or garlic fries. As we... More

We were traveling down the road at lunch time and just got off the road and stumbled on this restaurant. The view from the dining room was lovely. We ordered a Phillie cheese steak sandwich to share and a glass of wine. The sandwich although good was not the traditional Phillie cheese steak if you have been to Philadelphia and... More

At first glance the menu has promise. My husband order ed a steak that was ok but accompanied with dry mashed potatoes the major disappointment was the Napoleon stack with quinoa. After my second bite I asked for some sauce of some sort. After my husband finished his meal I told the waiter to forget it. He said oh no... More

Nothing can top the classic hotel or Columbia Gorge view at this establishment. We had lunch there and really enjoyed the view, the service and the food. Fortunately Columbia River Steelhead Salmon was on the menu. It makes great sandwiches for lunch !! The hotel, its staff and the restaurant staff were very friendly and inviting. The server even introduced... More

Just happened to see roadside sign for a historic hotel, decided to try restaurant - glad we did. Restaurant setting was very quaint, interesting, lots of historic value. Had a list of famous folks that have visited. Ask for a window view overlooking the Gorge. The view is spectacular. Be sure to walk outside and see the river, waterfall. Ask... More

We had both dinner and breakfast at this lovely restaurant. Reserve a table on the window side overlooking the Gorge. The view is spectacular. We were quickly seated and service was brisk. The menu is extensive and the wine list features Northwest wines, including some truly outstanding labels. Cocktails were well prepared and a very generous size. The selection of... More

This is such a beautiful settings that the food and service almost don't matter but as a real bonus they are both very good. The small outdoor terrace seating is the place to be for a relaxed meal with a great view high above the Columbia river. We have been here a number of times, sometimes for just an afternoon... More

I was at the restaurant with a group of twelve. Talk about special treatment -- we had a menu designed just for us. When was the last time that you went to a restsurant and receive such special treatment? The dining room was also reserved just for us. The help went out of their way to see that we were... More

We had Sunday brunch at Simon's. The food was good, but nothing compared to the views! It was definitely a great place to spend time with family and have a good meal.
