We came here for dinner during a recent visit to Hillsboro. We were looking forward to some nice Mexican food. This place was steps from our hotel. The menu offerings were not very good and we settled for fajitas. They were OK. The meet was a little tough. We noticed lots of non chain Mexican restaurants in the area as... More

Had lunch at On the Border today, pork tacos with rice and beans. Portions weren't very large, the taste was bland and the service was slow. You can get a better Mexican meal for less at Taco Del Mar.

I took my girls here for a lunch date after receiving an email advertising free nachos for Cantina club members. The service was fast and friendly and the avocado fries are to die for!

I usually like this chain but this restaurant was terrible! My husband & I stopped for a late lunch on friday around 1:30p and, although we were seated right away, the server was one of slowest and inattentive I've ever encountered. Funny thing was there were no other patrons that we could see. Maybe we should have taken that as... More

Great food, service. Lots of smaller appy's. Easy parking with W/C access. The margarita's are yummy with lots of lime flavour. We enjoyed the Mexican sampler which is enough for two people.

Over the past few years I have found myself at On the Border in a few different cities in the US. A couple of weeks ago I frequented the location in Hillsboro, Oregon. I believe this is the last time I try On the Border. I have not been impressed on any visit at any location. The chips and salsa... More

The service was friendly and efficient. The food was typical for this type of Mexican restaurant, with a few added twists like corn scattered across the Carne Asada. There was also corn mixed into the rice, which wasn't appreciated by the youngest member of the family, but didn't ruin it for others. That said, as someone mildly allergic to corn,... More

I'm a vegetarian, my husband is not. It's hard to find a safe place for me. Every time I dine out I always tell the server that I'm a vegetarian, and ask if what I'm ordering is safe for me. After three times of visiting this restaurant and ordering the spinach and mushroom enchilada the server told me the sauce... More
