We had heard a lot about this restaurant but had never been there until we received a gift card. The decor was great and they managed to keep the old theater feeling when it was remodeled. The service was great and the food was very good. There was a nice selection of choices for dinner and the dessert selections were... More

That's about it. I've eaten there four times. Food has been less than impressive so I think I've given them more than enough chances.

We have been enjoying meals at the Venetian for a couple of years now, always coming away feeling satisfied with the service, food and drink menu. Recently, we started a gluten free regiment and at most restaurants you really have to be careful. We have always loved the pizza's at the Venetian and noticed that they had gluten free pizza... Had my birthday lunch here with a friend. Lunch menu has enough variety to be interesting but not too much to be overwhelming. Had the roast pork and apple salad, was great. Have also had their burgers and pizza in the past and those are tasty as well. They have a nice selection of local brews and spirits as well.... More

Walking around in this converted theatre you see lots of fun stuff... and the food is well prepared with good service. They have a wide menu (make fine little pizzas) and serve good drinks. I had crab cakes which were a little dry...and the big open room was kind of cold...or I would have given 5 stars.

Lake Oswego, the Hollywood District or the Alphabet District might be a more fitting place to find this combination theater/restaurant. The Venetian seems to be a fish out of water on Hillsboro's scruffy Main Street. A knowing entrepreneur completely renovated this old theater into an elegantly rustic restaurant with a great horse shoe bar and a performance venue with seats... More

We had play tickets at the Venetian, so we made dinner reservations at the Bistro. The place is hike from where we live. There were 8 of us for dinner and we were seated quickly. Our server was pretty efficient despite getting the wine wrong. he did a good job getting our orders and bringing our food. He never really... More

My quick review of our dinner at the Venetian last week: Good: - the venue is really cool, unexpected in quiet Hillsboro - the staff was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful Bad: - the food is only average: calzone was ok, but I've had better at home and at Old Chicago's; salad had very good blackened chicken, but was othewise pretty... I lived in Hillsboro from 1970 - 1986 and was delighted to come home and find that the old Hill Theater had been reopened as a restaurant! I was even more delighted to have lunch there last week and find that the food was fantastic! The creamy garlic potato soup was simply amazing. After my meal I took a tour... More

Date night with my wife and we had a gift card for The Venetian in Hillsboro. We had never been here before and decided to check it out rather than head for the Pearl. What a surprise! The place was wonderful. The staff were friendly and fun. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was just what we were looking... More
