Nice restaurant & food. Glad I didn't see the reviews before going

Ok, I'm seeing all these negative reviews of this restaurant. I honestly don't understand how it could garner them. We actually went twice; once for lunch while rolling through town traveling north. I found a $30 plate to have a wilted salad for starters. Then my meal - the special of the day. Greasy salmon and 3 greasy prawns. Greasy bell peppers and something else that had been blackened. The garnish was a wilted pieced of lettuce and dried parsley sprinkle all around the edge of the plate. Steamed carrots - were... More

I've had my share of fried calamari from seaport towns/cities and what we were served was not what I expected! It looked more like a little larger than clam strips that were breaded then frozen served with cocktail sauce and regular tartar sauce. Not worth the $9. Then I was anticipating their seafood linguine. Again, another disappointing dish. It was... More

I feasted on a freshly steamed crab, with a lovely salad, rice and a delicious daiquiri. My husband had the grilled shrimp with mushrooms. The service was excellent and cheerful. We hadn't been here in years and enjoyed the makeover to the place and the menu. It is the finest dining in the Brookings area with prices to match (but... More

We decided to give this place a try despite the bad reviews. I will say the food was great, however, a little overpriced. The service was alright. The waitress was great but I really think they were understaffed.

We arrived for an early dinner. There were three other couples at various tables. The wait staff finally noticed we had been seated by the hostess and took drink orders. Eventually they returned to take our order. The service was the slowest I have ever had in a restaurant. I think they must have gone out back to pick greens... More

Food is sub grade and staff were not very friendly. Try sporthaven, hungry clam or Zolas for a much better meal very close by.

The food is always good here. During this trip, the service was good--they handled our large group well. The portions are large; I didn't hear any complaints about the food from our group; dessert options were plentiful and delicious. They have a great view of Southaven beach (you can take a short walk to the beach to walk off your... More

Avoid at all costs!!! Horrendous service, bland atmosphere, average 30$. Total tourist trap. Best western employees are obligated to recommend due to the fact that they lease the building Sebastian's works out of.

We liked every thing about Sebastians. the food, service and dinning room were excellant. We had a small problem with our crab cocktail which was taken care of properly and promptly. Iwould dine there anytime I am in Brookings.
