We were waited on quickly and our breakfasts came quickly. If you like bacon, be sure to order it here! It's outstanding! If you don't like bacon that much, this bacon may change your mind. Thick slices, cooked to order by a chef who also knows how to baste eggs to perfection. Outstanding meal!

We stopped there as part of a large bus group and no one would wait on my mom and I!! The woman who was supposed to be our waiter (we were at the counter) ignored us completely and when she did finally sigh and stop long enough to take our order (a good 20 minutes after everyone else in our... Had run out of places to stop for lunch so thought we'd wait until we hit the freeway. It was a cold day & I was wanting a hot meal. Stopped at the Pioneer Villa Saloon. It was also a cold day in the restaurant! My husband went back to the car to get his jacket & I wished I... More

The service was decent, the food was decent, the price was decent. The soup and salad were pretty good. The meatloaf was eh, eatable.

Sadly I must say this restaurant is nothing to write home about. I gave it 3 rating simply because the place was clean and the wait staff was friendly but a little bit slow. I ate breakfast here and found the food to be fairly greasy. The eggs, bacon and hash browns were good but for the grease surrounding them.... More

I spent the last 6 days in Halsey. Had breakfast there every morning with the family ( between 2 and 6 people daily) Although the service was a bit slow, that was to be expected, there was one waitress and one cook on duty, yet at least half the dining area was filled. The food was great! (except they put... More

Without a doubt, this place makes my "All Time Worst DIning Experience." It started with a VERY dour no-greeting. The lack of waitstaff made waiting for food...quite tiresome. You had to dodge carts and rubbish in the hall on the way to the restroom. I expected zombies working in the kitchen and was not disappointed! This was one of those... More

Food was definitely truck stop food. I ordered the Chicken fried steak and could not eat it. The fried part peeled right off the meat and didn't look like any chicken fried steak I have ever eaten before. The meat was tough and had a funny taste to it. The side salad was good and crisp and I didn't find... More

With its location, this is a good place to stop for a meal and a break. A lot of locals go here, some travel 20 miles to eat here. Not that the food is so great (not while I lived in the area), but it suffices, there's always a decent quality, you get ok service, it's easy-in & easy-out. Overall... More
