A small place with limited seating, and a healthy serving of old-fashioned hospitality. Great burgers and breakfasts. The waitresses are friendly and efficient, and remember patrons from previous visits. Much better prices than other "Breakfast" places in town. If you're one of the regular locals, have a seat at the counter and visit with your fellow diners.

We were looking for a yummy breakfast at something other than a chain restaurant and this was perfect. Very "home town" feel with home cooked food. A bit slow on a Sunday morning because of a large group but we found a table and the food came out reasonably quick after we ordered. Nothing fancy, but the food was good.

A hole-in-the-wall place. I had a great breakfast with hot coffee. The waitress was as sweet as pie. She cared for each patron as if they were all individual guests in her kitchen. I am fond of these kind of home-town places. If you want to look for negative things to say about this place you may find some. But... More

Only been in Gresham/Troutdale area for 8 years, so not a "local" yet (those East County dwellers can be a bit curmudeony) but what can I say except that this place is the cats pajamas for breakfast. All us ladies got a lovely, fresh rose for Mom's Day - so sweet. Price is perfect for the amount of delicious eats... More

Polar king is great!! You walk into a cozy ma and pop restaurant with cheap prices only to discover that you are eating some gourmet stuff!!! The country omelette is huge and to die for. They have real true to the core chicken strips that I can never seem to replace. Simply amazing with long term friendly employees. I love... More

It doesn't more 'Americana' than this place - opened in the 50's (I think), breakfast is always fantastic, and the wait-staff are what you would expect in a diner - friendly, forthright and a little pushy - ha! Lots of locals/regulars eat here. Love it!

Meals seam pricey for the outward appearance, but the food is remarkable. Home cooked meals with people like Victoria that just make it such a treat. We have a neighbor who must always have a side of coleslaw to go, you will know why when you order it. Local family owned business, diner variety setting, you won't leave hungry, their... More
