My wife and I were on our way to Depoe Bay on Sunday, June 8, 2014, and decided to eat our main meal at the Cedar Plank Buffet on our way by. The Spirit Mountain Casino, which houses the buffet, is right next to Oregon State Highway 18, so it's convenient if one is passing by. The buffet has several... More

This buffet is one of the best in Oregon! Unfortunately it's housed in a casino that has slots that don't have a strong pay-out in my opinion. Without the occasional win it's just not worth the drive.

We only occasionally visit the casino and buffet so, as with many, the menu might be different depending on the day of the week. We went early evening on a Monday, and one of the items were large crab legs. Shell crackers are next to the legs and small buckets are delivered to your table for the shells, and any... More

Standard buffet fare, nothing fancy. As per ususal with buffets, avoid anything ethnic like the chinese or mexican. The prime rib was great, had it both for dinner and for lunch the next morning. Love the creamy horseradish sauce. The sushi was good, but well picked over at dinner time when I was there, and it's not offered at lunch.... More

Comparable to the Bellagio at Vegas (which is one of the best but cost's $38). Everything was excellent! Especially loved the salmon and the mini eclairs - awesome! Can't wait to go again next time we are in the area!

Where do I begin? That's what I was saying to myself when I seen how much this buffet had to offer. So many choices, it was hard to decide. Everything from made to order omelets to deep fried shrimp, 4 styles of French toast, carved ham, fresh fruit, I could go on and on and on. The dining area is... More

We were expecting the run-of-the-mill pizza, salad and ice cream buffet. Wrong! I would compare this favorably to Vegas buffets. The selection was overwhelming and everything we tried was delicious. They have a shrimp bar where you can design your own scampi style dish (I think it's only on the dinner buffet though). Their seafood bar is amazing as well. No... More

The selection of food is amazing. From pizza to sushi. Chinese to pasta. Prime rib and seafood. On Valentines night they had chocolate covered strawberries. Nice! Besides hot and cold dungeness crab they had lobster claws as well. At 22 bucks you are still getting a deal. A crab dinner alone goes for $32 in most places. Yum!

The buffet is the best for a casino. The lines can get long. I eat tons of crab when I go, so if you like crab, it's a good deal. A good crab dinner at a steak house would cost you double and its not all you can eat.

We've eaten dinner here many times, but this visit the timing worked out for lunch as we were driving to our home at the coast. It was late, nearly 3:00 pm, and I was surprised by the number of people, then realized that they were all probably doing what we were ... filling up on a late lunch at a... More
