We visited for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. The coffee was tasty and there was a wide menu variety to choose from, both for breakfast and for lunch. Service was friendly and there was plenty of seating, inside and outside.

After a nightcap at Charlie's and a night in the sprinter van, I awoke to the beautiful views and sleepy mountain town feel of Government Camp and set out to find a breakfast locale for my sister, her husband and I to fuel up for the day. I am so glad I stumbled upon the High Mountain Cafe. Part cafe,... More

Considering the price and locale, the selection and quality of the food was a bit disappointing. The views were spectacular if you are lucky enough to snag a window table. We went at lunch and had to wait a bit.

Really enjoyed a few breakfasts and espressos here. Extremely friendly service and all food and drink met or exceeded expectations. Problem? The pace is a bit on the slow side. Me wife tells me I need to chill out as we're on vaca. Fair point, but still...

Three words for you BISCUITS AND GRAVY! We walked over to the High Mountain Cafe to discover the wafting smells of waffles! The kids were ecstatic and I was excited for the biscuits and gravy, FAVORITE! Hubby had himself a build it yourself omelette and was a very happy camper. Then the kids enjoyed some more skee ball while we... More

Stopped in here today on my way to Portland for lunch. Ordered an "Yard Sale" sandwich. All I have to say is awesome. Ordered my sammy and sat down to deal with a few emails. Internet was great service was better. I would suggest stopping in here if your in Govy.

Our breakfast of a scramble was very good except for the artichoke hearts that still had the small leafy portion on the heart. They were very tough and chewy, not at all edible. The background music was loud an "screechy" and a distraction for such a small area as the place was packed with everyone trying to talk above the... More

We LOVE the High Mountain Cafe, whether on our way to Bend and just getting lunch to go or enjoying Mt. Hood for a hike. The variety and quality of the sandwiches are to be applauded. My favorite is the chevre goat cheese on whole wheat baguette, with the crispiest cucumbers, fresh spinach and tomatoes topped with a pesto that... More

Ate here for breakfast mid-week in February. Being as midweek is not a peak time it was not very busy. Breakfast burrito was quite good and my son liked his eggs. Service was a little slow was there was only one person working who was taking orders at the counter and making the food and drinks. My mocha and wife's... More

The staff is friendly. The food is off the hook- seriously best breakfast and lunch. I wish Portland had something similar. They offer cocktails, beers, kombucha, and their espresso is great!
