Description: In January 1991 the Mt Hood Brewing Company opened, serving...
In January 1991 the Mt Hood Brewing Company opened, serving locally-produced beers and hearty pub fare in a family-friendly atmosphere. In October 1992, the newly constructed ten barrel brewery rolled out its first barrel. Eight distinctive ales are produced by the union of pure glacial water, Pacific Northwest barley and hops and the inspiration of the Mt Hood Brewing Co's brewers. These delightful beers can be enjoyed at the Mt Hood Brewing Co brewpub in Government Camp and throughout Timberline's other Mt Hood restaurants. Oregonians can also find these ales on draft at restaurants throughout the state. The new Mt Hood Brewing Co was founded upon the notion that, like the best wines, beer is best produced in small, handcrafted batches utilizing the finest ingredients. The brewery's commitment to this standard demands that each keg arrives at its destination while still in its prime, fresh and wholesome. Thus, none of the beer leaves the State of Oregon. Like the beer, Mt Hood Brewing Co's food is always fresh and locally-sourced. Kids and adults alike enjoy the pub's tasty starters, signature pizzas and hearty entrees. Many menu items are prepared with Mt Hood Brewing Co beer and are best paired with a cold pint. Thousands of skiers, tourists and locals have made the Mt Hood Brewing Co an institution on the south slope of Mount Hood.

Scotty provided excellent service, and all the the team members were friendly. The cheeese fondue was yummy, veggie chili and seafood chowder both excellent, and the pizza was good, too. The beer sampler was also much enjoyed.

My husband and I took a day trip to Mount Hood to take photos of the mountain from Trillium Lake. The day was a wonderful success! We not only got the pictures we wanted, but, also discovered a delightful place to eat. We were planning to have dinner with our daughter and son-in-law as soon as we got back to... More

We looked around the other restaurants in the town and picked this one as the surroundings and atmosphere seemed best. The service was brilliant; friendly and helpful. The food was very good, I had the wings and my partner had the chowder both were outstanding. Would definitely go again.

Mt. Hood Brewing isn't your typical brew pub. The food is of a higher scale than most bars. Unlike a lot of the restaurants in this touristy area, Mt. Hood seems to have its systems in place to assure a quality experience. We ate at MHB three times because it was so good and so much better than the other... More

Stopped in after a hike and photo shoot at Mirror Lake. Just a short jaunt UP the road from the trail head. First both the Hostess and Server were cheerful and attentive. They provided some friendly suggestions. The 3 Bean Chili was excellent and put some zing in a person's tongue with the pickled peppers, cheddar and sliced onions. Not... More

Average lunch menu but nicely prepared. The sampler of the on site brewery brews was special. Friendly under staffed wait staff.

Very good service! The staff were on it and attentive. The beer (pale ale and IPA) was solid and the food was consistently good across all the items we ordered from the menu. Nice touch with the organic ketchup and mustard on the table. The boys wished there were simple hot wings and the spinach salad had a bit too... More
