Very Good

The service was very good. The waitress was very helpful in answering questions and letting us make a few changes. The chowder was the best I have had on the Oregon coast. The salmon and cod were so fresh and tasty. The spinach salad was amazing. They didn't serve scallops which I was disappointed... read more

Do yourself a favor and get the dungenesss crab dip with blue and Brie. Also excellent razor clams and steamers.

The food was well prepared, flavorful and nicely plated. I was finally able to acquire a meal that was not deep fat fried...in a place that did not label a spinach salad "foo-foo"

We've been here many times cause its so great! Delicious meals, good bar, crisp white tablecloths, friendly wait staff! Your table looks over the harbor by the jetty. What more could you ask for! It's perfect.

It was a weeknight and we were the first ones there. We even left, after viewing the posted menu, only to return later with an encouraging recommendation from a local bartender. The spinach salad was exceptional, as was the flat-iron steak and fried shrimp. Accompanying that was seasoned rice. Though it was a week-night, other customers eventually and from the... More

This restaurant has been around for 35 years... food is ok, nothing to talk about.. Restaurant badly in need of repair.. The one thing I can't get over is how they can be open without providing for handicap..??? Hummm.. makes me wonder who is on the take... Outside wood steps to get into restaurant... Went once will not return.

This used to be our favorite place to come when we visit Gold Beach. Our hotel proprietor let us know that the Norwester is not like it used to be, but we decided to find out for ourselves. Unfortunately he was right. The prices have gone sky high and the food has become just average or worse. The clam chowder... More

We came here specifically for oysters at 7:30 mid week. Ordered three oyster entrees but got only one, and fried rather than sautéed as ordered . Kitchen ran out. ok this happens, but someone might have recognized that our replacements were a bit spendier and made some allowance? Fine view and good food. Just pay attention, please.

A very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The food is very good all around. Presentation, taste and portions are just right. Calamari appetizer is always fresh and well cooked, it's tender and very flavorful.

The atmosphere is very inviting...dark paneling, fireplace (which, however, was not going when we were there. And it was cold!! outside) However, the atmosphere could not make up for the quality of the food. I ordered the cod with a baked potato on the side. The potato looked like it had been "baked" for days...I didn't even cut into it.... More
