Nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere is very inviting...dark paneling, fireplace (which, however, was not going when we were there. And it was cold!! outside) However, the atmosphere could not make up for the quality of the food. I ordered the cod with a baked potato on the side. The potato looked like it had been... read more

The hostess was also the bartender, and it took me half an hour to just get my name on the list and never was able to get a cocktail, after forty five minutes we got a bottle of wine because then we wouldn't have to wait again, it was really busy but didn't mind waiting but when we finally did... The only way to eat is a long set of outdoor stair, no wheel chair access ramps or TV elevators for elderly or handcapped,

Arrived to late in the evening to check out the view, but I'm sure it's harborside location provides for plenty to see, especially at sunset. I was disappointed there were no draft beers. I love local craft beers and like to taste them first, before I buy a pint. I ordered the fish and chips (black cod/Rock?) which had a... More

Second story view of the harbor was great;we watched the rain sweep across the bay. Wine list of Northwest wines was adequate. Clam chowder was excellent, and the breaded calamari was someof the best I've ever had. My husband's fish was tender and cooked perfectly. I did think, however, that the prices were a little steep for the cuisine --... More

This restaurant is at the top of the stairs and affords a great view of the harbor. At night there are little twinkling lights everywhere, and the restaurant is not large, so the atmosphere is very romantic and welcoming. Great service, excellent food--this place is one of Dan's favorites, and the clam chowder was really good!

When you travel alone the only person to please is yourself. I pulled into the NorWester hungry and pretty beat from the day's road excursion. The place had popped up my GPS 20 miles north of Gold Beach on the Oregon Coast. It was getting dark when I pulled in. Boats, lots of boats. NIce bay. Real pretty I'd say.... More

We were told the Norwester was a nice restaurant so we gave it a try on our annual Oregon trip. We won't be back. No crackers for the clam chowder, beef was tough, wine was flavorless but more importantly the service was terrible. In particular the older lady, presumably the owner or manager. Insisted we keep the blinds up even... More

Very good sea food, great service,( although I think she really liked my fiancée, she kept telling him how nice he smelled). He, (we), got great service. We would defiantly eat there again.

Should have read the reviews. The location and view were great. Right on the harbor. The hostess was a bit on the cold side when we came in and got colder when it became clear we were not drinkers. Luckily the waitress made up for it with a friendly and professional attitude--same with the other staff. We were hopeful and... More
