Beautiful beach day

Could not have hit a more beautiful day on the Oregon coast. Golfed 36 holes without having to wear a jacket. Enjoyed the course, the starter was a bit grumpy. Had lunch between rounds---fish tacos and grilled ham and cheese. Both were pretty good.

Thank you for letting my group in to watch the playoff games in between tennis. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to enjoy our favorite team win to go to the Superbowl. Nice people and lots of inventory. We will be back for a visit soon.

We scheduled a tee time and had a bit of extra time so grabbed breakfast at the pro shop. What a pleasant surprise! The meals were cooked perfectly and the chef himself came out and asked how our meals were. Now that's someone that takes pride in their work! The weather was cool and a bit breezy, buy hey, it's... We were looking for a fun night away and were willing to spend the $250+ per night for something slightly fancier, so made the mistake of choosing Salishan. Our issues: - We expected decent views and accommodations. We got a decent view of the bay but the room was grimy, old and outdated. The bathroom was decent. - We showed... More

Now it feels overpriced--a little shabby, a little emptier than it should be. Response to room problems sometimes very delayed. Nice location, though, excellent spa. Salishan shops across the road sporting many empty spots these days. I still stay there for business, but not on my own dime anymore.

The food in the cafe & steakhouse are consistently very good and the service is always outstanding. The food & entertainment in The Attic is great. The food in the Steakhouse is outstanding. Great wine list and entrées are very good. Only criticism is to put on the menus everything that is actually available, like Caesar salad, not on any... More

Our choosing Salishan for our lunch spot on a recent day-trip to the Lincoln City area was our only disappointment of the day. It did not live up to the hype or it's outdated reputation. The chowder was only fair in composition and preparation, the portions meager, the presentation as you'd expect in a diner, the place-settings inexpensive and the... More

We stayed at the resort for several days and treated ourselves to room service, lunch & breakfast while we were there. Kinda pricey, but the service was good, food was good, probably won't have eaten here if we weren't staying here and had a daily food credit as part of our package, only because of the prices.

Beautiful location, wonderful atmosphere, delicious menu choices. The staff were very friendly and the courses of the holiday meal offered was cooked to perfection. Exceptional quality for a very nice date night dining experience.

Friday, Nov. 30 we stayed at the Salishan Resort. We had dinner at their restuarant. It was what I would call a fine Oregon Coast Pricey Restuarant. I had the CIOPPINO and it was terrible. It had large Crab Claws in it that had been frozen and stringy with no taste. Also, they were not even Dungess Crab from the... More
