Disappointment

Kathleen's bread is wonderful, but to get a loaf to take home, you must place the order the prior day and make a second trip to pick it up. The slices are too thick for a standard toaster. We ate in, and I ordered the "everything but the kitchen sink" omelet. It took a very, very, very long time... read more

This is a small, family-friendly restaurant on famous, historic RT. 101. On August 7, 2015, we stopped in for a late breakfast. Trust me, we were hungry. Well, the food; a ham, egg & mushroom omelet, was just super. We really enjoyed every bite of it.

The place is an old house (mostly) converted to a diner. The staff were very friendly. The cook pleasantly modified the crepes to include bananas at my young son's polite request. (We had a banana with us, and they used it!) Wish we'd saved room for pie, maybe next time!

What great service and food - complete with smiles at this amazing restaurant. Open for breakfast and lunch only - don't miss their homemade bread and pie creations. Just wonderful

My wife and I went here for breakfast recently. Granted that they were busy but not so busy that there were no tables available. Just short of an hour and ten minutes to get through breakfast - the kitchen is very slow for a rather small and cramped venue. I had an omelet and hash browns. The omelet was large... More

I was passing through with my family. We desperately needed breakfast and I saw Kathleen and Nina's "house" and crossed two lanes of traffic to get to it. Great decision! The atmosphere, as outdated as it was, felt very inviting and comfortable. The service was the best and the food was even better! Who doesn't like pancakes as big as... More

This is a quaint little place on the 101 highway just inside Florence City Limits. If you aren't paying attention, you might miss it - and if you miss it you will miss OUTSTANDING food. Portions are huge - price is not. Wonderful fresh bread daily. They are only open a few hours each day (breakfast/lunch) - make sure you... More

Happy birthday me.. We decided to go to the best breakfast joint in Florence while my friends are in town from Seattle. I am local and had been there before for good food and ok service. The 30 minute or more wait, and incredibly expensive food had always been worth it. Well color me embarrassed when we were treated like... More

My wife and I were driving south on 101, we had not had breakfast, and by lunchtime we were hungry, and just pulled up in the parking lot and took a punt on this place. Interior is basic, almost like eating in someone's kitchen. There were about six local people all sharing a table and chatting like old friends, two... More

Eight of us ate breakfast here recently. The service was good and the food was delicious. We look forward to trying it again. The baked goods are homemade, and my blueberry muffin was the best I have had!
