The wait staff here are top-notch. They are helpful, if asked, and pleasant. They never rush you, though they stay busy. We ate breakfast here two mornings, lunch here one day, and dinner here one night. Everything was delicious! Loved the clam chowder! The Surfside is always a must-visit on our trips to Florence.

After drinks at the bar, we had a tasty meal. The service was good at both the restaurant and the bar. Servers were friendly and the meal was satisfying. I had scallops, and these were cooked perfectly, done just right not chewy. My husband had salmon, and he was pleased as well.

You can't miss for atmosphere and a great dining experience at Surfside Restaurant located at the Driftwood Shores Resort near Florence, Oregon. Without a doubt, and after much testing, they have the best Clam Chowder on the Oregon Coast. It is chock full of clams and wonderful ingredients. Other highlights of the menu is their Pepper Crusted Steak. We make... More

We thought it would just be convenient to eat at the restaurant because we were staying at the Driftwood Shores. The meals were wonderful! The peppercorn steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had! We ended up eating there 2 nights. The view of the ocean was great (even watched a guy setting up on the beach... More

We ate breakfast here during our stay at Driftwood Shores. While the food wasn't bad it wasn't anything spectacular, portions were small, and prices very high. Also, my eggs were over-cooked. When you charge that much for corned beef hash and eggs you should be able to fry an egg correctly. I wouldn't eat here again.

What this hotel lacks in the rooms they make up for with the dining. If you are having dinner or breakfast the menu has plenty of A+ options. For dinner make sure that you make a reservation because if you don't you might not get a seat. Being in town on business we did not have reservations but they were... More

My husband and I went for Christmas dinner at 1:00. The menu was a special 4 course meal with various options. I chose the scallops and my husband chose the salmon. Everything we had during our meal was excellent. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful! We also enjoyed a bottle of wine while watching others enjoy their sunny... More

This restaurant has probably the best clam chowder I've ever had, and I've had a lot on the west coast. They are a bit pricey, but the view is awesome. We were celebrating 2 big birthdays and no simple dessert was even offered. That was a little disappointing.

My wife and I ate there and it was about what I expected, maybe a little below par. My half-pound burger was good but honestly, how can you mess up a burger? My wife's pulled pork sandwich was off-base. It has some kind of herb in it we both didn't care for. She's from Texas and knows good pulled pork... More

Part of the Driftwood Shores Resort, this restaurant has the only view of the ocean in Florence. It sits right on a sandy beach with large picture windows offering a great view. As a local I frequent this place for it's romance, especially watching the sunset on the ocean over dinner. Food is very good but not a particular draw... More
